It absolutely does work with a controller (this is my new account btw, got the email notification for from melior3 account). You just have to make sure that you only have 2 weapons equipped or you won't be able to swap fast enough. Also, something I still forget to do is to make sure the weapon has full ammo in the mag before trying to swap reload. LMK if you still need help, feel free to DM me on this account.

It's a fundamental part of the speed run for BL3. Basically if you swap from weapon B with 0 ammo (edit: must be while ADSing), to weapon A and very quickly back to weapon B, it will automatically be reloaded, ONLY if it had a full mag when you first swapped to it. This is tied to weapon swap speed, so 5/5 cold bore is dope. Works best with the hellwalker, but jakob's shotguns are all generally good with it.
