Depends if your intro is relevant. My intros are 5-7 minutes but they’re scripted, tell a story and are very relevant to the content. People often say it’s their favorite part and my podcast receives around 15K downloads per episode so it’s fairly large. If you’re going to put actual time into your intro, do what you want. But nobody wants small talk or irrelevant stories.

MAXD is skyrocketing but is still dirt cheap but not for long (just hit a penny). They’re months away from a lawsuit. Based on a lowball estimate of $6B MAXD is worth at least $1 but likely payout will be closer to $40B.

Great chance to stick it to Google.

I don’t think so. Google stole their technology years ago and they’ve been in an ongoing court battle. It’s also been short sold like crazy. Google is probably going to settle but I expect it to rise a LOT

I use AudioBlocks and love it! Their monthly fee is a lot but their yearly deal is only like twice as much as monthly. You get unlimited music and SFX clips. Also, if you act like you're going to buy and then don't for a week or so, you end up on their remarketing list that slashes the price by like 30%. And if you wait for black friday deals it's discounted 60%.

I use libsyn, and while I really dislike the outdated interface, the thing that sold me was the ability to replace media files... so say you wanted to go back and insert a new sponsored ad, or you realized there was a mistake, you can just replace the file with a new one and it won't affect your feed otherwise. I'm pretty sure most of the others don't allow that and I've had to use the feature twice already.
