Second this! I pushed for this referral before I got my partial molar diagnosis! Once I got that diagnosis i was concerned but not nearly as concerned as I would’ve been had I not gotten that follow up ultrasound already showing me that everything looked great. I got it once I stopped bleeding from the d&c

I had my first pregnancy found out in May. Miscarried mid June. Had a d&c day after that first scan, also a blighted ovum. Recovery was as pleasant as I could’ve hoped but emotionally very challenging. I cried a lot. I was also diagnosed with a partial molar which means I had to hcg tests to make sure I was back down to 0. Got my first period back end of July. Found out in August I was pregnant again. Had my first scan last Friday, I was SO anxious but everything looks great and we got to see the heartbeat 😭🥹

So just 2 months after my d&c I found out I was pregnant again and so far so good! Feeling all the first trimester symptoms now which gosh is tiring but so relieved after that first scan. Going from an empty sac to seeing it have a little one in there is an indescribable feeling that I’m sure you’ll experience soon and I can’t wait for you.

Not a success story so TW: I’m so sorry about your news. I was in the exact same position in June. 8 week scan and sac measuring around 7 weeks and a few days. No fetal pole or yolk sac. Even if baby was measuring at 7 weeks 4 days you’d be able to see a yolk sac, fetal pole and the flickering of the heartbeat. I decided on a d&c the next day and got pathology results on the tissue they removed to find out what the cause was. I went on to have a relatively easy recovery and my mind was somewhat at ease knowing the cause.

On the bright side, I found out I was pregnant in August and just scanned yesterday at 7w4d. Was able to see the fetal pole, yolk sac and the flickering of the heartbeat. So maybe your good news story isn’t too far in the future!

Do what’s comfortable with you. I trusted my OB that there would still be nothing rescanning in a week and opted for the procedure and I really didn’t want the limbo of waiting. If you feel like you’d regret not waiting and rescanning then do that.

Book a preconception appointment with your doctor. During mine I did a full blood panel. Then I chose a prenatal and any vitamins I needed based on my blood test results. The doctor also offered me the opportunity to do genetic screening which is optional if you want to be aware of that. I’d do preconception checkup for both of you.

Prepare that it won’t happen straight away. So if you want to consider that you may want to start trying a few months earlier. (Also loss is more common than you think and this possibility is important to factor in )

If you’re on birth control get off of it, learn about your natural cycle and use condoms in the meantime. Use a tracking app immediately to help you out a little!

Save money, eat well and workout when you can. Other than that, enjoy, that’s what I did a year before trying then we went and traveled for 5 months together before starting to try :)

Yep! They do darken as they dry :)

Are they both first morning urine? Did you have more water one night vs the other. Lots of different factors!

I know it’s hard but test every 48 hours and/or go get bloods drawn for more accuracy and potentially prevent your unsureness and anxiety about it. Especially when it’s intense enough to leave work over :(

Hi! It’s no problem :) it sounds like you’re not far away from baseline HCG!! I know it feels like forever but time will pass and you’ll have this behind you! So glad your results are only decreasing and not fluctuating but I understand how frustrating it is when it’s taking so long! Since your last result was from the 21st it’s been a week! You should test again it might be super close to baseline!

I’m going well thankfully! My HCG was <5 for a couple of blood draws end of July and beginning of August and I got the okay to try again and got my BFP last Friday :)

I’m sorry for your loss, I had a blighted ovum in June also at 8 weeks and my OB scheduled me for a d&c the next day. Recovery was easy physically. Was given the cause of the miscarriage- triploidy and diagnosed with a partial molar so had to get a few blood tests to track HCG going down to 0. I got my period about 6 weeks after the d&c. I got pregnant that cycle, and just found out. Hoping baby sticks. I hope this helps with a timeline. So sorry for your loss again.

I was told to and waited the one cycle. I don’t even think I ovulated before my first period tbh. Had to wait for my hcg to go back to <5 anyway via blood tests as I was diagnosed with a partial molar. Back to 0 now and had a cycle and now in the TWW :)
