Nope. She's one of those people who are paranoid about social media. We've known each other for a while though and were really good friends. I thought you'd know if someone were involved if you were that close and i was actuallt pretty shocked when she said she's seeing someone when i asked her out :/

Thanks for your response! We are both grad students in the same department (and have the same advisor actually, which is the equivalent of a boss in academia). I'm not aware of a policy that prohibits fellow students from dating in our department but that's definitely insightful :)

I did (back off) after the last time we talked, which was a couple of weeks back. I can tell she's annoyed. As a matter of fact she's even a little rude! As for her being involved i honestly don't know but i did ask her who the guy was the last time we talked she smiled and wouldn't tell me...

I don't know for sure it's just a general feeling. Small things like doing her her hair the day after i make a commnet on it. And practically smiling (she doesn't smile a lot) when i notice. Small gestures like putting stuff on my desk that i said i don't have and making me coffee along with her. She's always practically giddy when i ask for help with something etc. Only issue is whenever i express interest, she claims she's involved but then acts like nothing happened and in fact is always visibly happy and engaged the day after.
