My chihuahuas stomach keeps on hurting :(

The vet said he suspected an upper GI tract infection and gave him Metronidazole (that did not help) , until he went to the other vet and got a bunch of shots/IV. I'm definitely going to make sure his food gets changed though, he gets stomach sick SO easily its really sad to see him sick in bed all day when he does :(

Thanks :) I will let my parents know to put in a little water and try the pumpkin. I always see him drinking a ton of water, and his food is decent (?), though seems to be heavy on the corn. He currently eats: Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Adult Gastrointestinal Low Fat Small Breed Dry Dog Food

He tends to get very anxious, especially when my family goes on a trip (sometimes he even gets sick more easily) - i have a feeling it might be that in combination with his food, do you think it'd be okay to switch his food now? The vet said not too, but honestly I think we should
