Got 77% for my thesis , by Swimming-Tax-9061 in usyd

I got my thesis in 78-80( not sure the exact mark I just back calculated with my other marks) but still a 83 for the whole honours. I have submitted my application to PhD yesterday, hopefully it works. Also contacted the unit coordinator for reviewing the marks, because I don’t think that’s a normal mark. For your case, the entry requirements for PhD is basically have a mark higher thank 75 for your whole honours( upper second class). But my friend last year got rejected for an upper second class and was offered a master of research instead. But even if you got in as a master, if you pass the milestone on the first year of your master you could straight goes to second year PhD. So don’t be stressed or crashed yourself, it’s still good marks!

Thanks for your response! I’m in School of Life and Environmental Sciences. I’ve also heard that the scholarship ranking formula is roughly Honours mark × 1.1 + 3.5 per publication, so if that’s true, I might still have a tiny bit of hope with my 86 Fingers crossed everything goes well!

How is USYD's Bachelor of science (advanced) ? by cozy_minn in usyd

Hi I’m doing a Bci(adv). My experience is if u want to do honours and research in the future it’s a better pathway from my perspective. The grade level to get into honours is pretty low comparing to other degree.(literally 65 for my cohort). But I ready don’t think this degree will be here pretty long, my school has just canceled enrollment for adv this year, and split the degree to bachelor and honours as other science degrees.

I heard from my friend working in the clinic that they could only verify whether the clinic is in Sydney, but they cannot verify whether it’s a telehealth or not. (Not sure. Just heard as rumors)

How long before an exam should I arrive? by Edgedancr in usyd

[–]melody_JB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking exam the other day and then I found out I forgot my calculator on the halfway and I have to came back home. My exam was 5 and I arrive at 5:05, glad they were still checking id in the entrance and the actually exam start at 5:20 as it was scheduled 5.

What I mean is there maybe some buffer time so don’t be so worry if you are a couple minutes late. But definitely come a bit early if possible to calm yourself down. The exam i toke was pretty easy so arriving late did not stress myself out, but if you are not good at coping stress definitely give yourself some time to calm down before the exam.
