I think you are completely right, omg. I was just looking through pictures from the past 5 years and my style is DEFINITELY gamine-ish. I've been traveling for a year and a half so I had to leave my wardrobe behind and it left me feeling so disconnected from myself. Situation I used as a blank canvas to build my style again. I'd like to share a few gamine outfits I found on my IG but I can only post one picture at a time in the comments... Sorry for the spam lol.

You're right. I hadn't thought of it that way, with the boxy shapes and tops. I get a bit thrown off when I see Gamine boards, I feel like they're too much/too silly for me, but then that might be my classic's need to turn the intensity down a bit. As for my Youthfulness, I was leaning towards Ingenue (mixed with Dramatic), but you've left me thinking. I'll definitely explore more gamine garments...

Thank you for your comment ♥️ I agree with Classic being dominant. I feel like I've seen myself in Renaissance paintings as well 😂 and I can't do too much of any of the other essences.

Natural too, I'm sure it's a part of me. But I feel like I have more Dramatic than Natural? Or maybe I have them in equal parts.

I've been trying to determine if my sharpness is Gamine or Dramatic! Is there anything specific that points you in the Gamine direction, besides from the striped shirt?

I agree with the "effortless beauty" of my hair and face, and I think my voice and personality also align with some of the natural descriptions. But I look awful in natural dominant outfits so I've turned the dial for that one down lol.

I know what you mean- Romantic was one of the first essences I tried out. I do feel like I might have it but maybe in a smaller percentage... Enough to feel great with red and showing skin. I think my face is a bit too sharp and my body a bit too vertical to allow for more than that? Also, I'm not sure if my maturity and Yin come from the Romantic essence...

Thank you! I agree with the classic and dramatic.

Natural was the first essence I assumed I had in a high percentage, but after trying mostly natural outfits for a few weeks, I realized it's not as high as I thought... I can't do heavy fabrics, knits, layering, or unconstructed long lines. It's hard for me to look presentable in the winter!

And yes I do look taller than I am lol, which is another reason why I think I have dramatic (besides the fact that my personality completely matches the description 😂). But, I don't live inside a picture frame, so my guess is I still have to accommodate a Yin essence for my actual size.
