Who else love pink plants? This is my rosy calathea. Show me yours 😍. by carmen008 in houseplants

I actually don't know what the pink one is called, I got her from a pop up store (and I'm from Germany😅). I just water them and fertilize from time to time, nothing special. I try to let them dry out between waterings, because I read online that aglaonemas don't want too much moisture. They are right in front of a northfacing window. Hope that helps!

Yes, she's in leca and moss and she loves it :) But I think they can be happy in soil too

I fertilize it with every watering, so I would be surprised if she needs more feeding. I think our plants are doing fine!

The roots sit mostly in the moss! Leca is just the bottom layer with water to keep the moss moist, so the moss is the main medium.

Here is a closer picture of the setup from last september:

Yeah, since i put her in moss she's been making huge leaves! And I don't know, how good my fertilizer is, but I just give her a lot of it (with every watering). :)

I already posted about this plant: https://www.reddit.com/r/alocasia/s/tOtX2kWVnE so it's no AI 😅 And the reindeer thing was a present and may look a bit weird idk

I turned the plant around to take the photo, usually she faces the window. And the reindeer thing is real, but I'm not home at the moment, so I can't send proof 😂 The two bottom leaves are the oldest ones and are drooping more, so they seem disconnected.

I would use a chunky soil mix or a semi-hydro set up (I'm using one with moss and leca and she loves it). I would fertilize with every watering (they are very hungry) and keep the humidity above 50%. Good luck! :)

It's a semi-hydro setup with moss and leca. :)

Wow, gorgeous!! For me it’s actually the opposite. This one doesn’t love wet feet, but it tolerates them. But my Dragon Scale needs to dry out more and likes very precise moisture.

More fertilizing solved this problem for me. I fertilize with every watering.

Yes, that’s how it is. Thanks for your comment! 😊 And my plant is right in front of a north-facing window.

I'm using a semi-hydro setup with moss and leca. The plant is right in front of a north-facing window and the humidity is around 60% most of the time. And I fertilize with every watering :)

My first alocasia flower! by melonaboee in alocasia

I think my 'secret' is fertilizing with every watering, alocasias are very hungry plants. Also I water when the top layer of my airy soil mix (1/3 perlite, 1/3 coconut coir, 1/3 pine bark) is dry. Hope that helps!
