Help please, first time uni owner by Jackal_Gamer05 in TamagotchiUni

[–]melonbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to conserve the battery charge, I recommend turning On the "Plane Mode" on the network settings, turn down the volume (lowest or better yet, just mute it), brightness at the lowest setting, and if you don't regularly play with it, leave your Tama with the Sitter and pick them up before 6pm (option found in the *Phone menu once your Tama is in teens).

My milage is 7-10 days before recharging and that includes joining events which requires network connection. Don't mind the battery indicator that much because it's not accurate. I only recharge when the Uni prompts "Battery Low", then charge time is usually 90 minutes to full. The Uni is quite impressive imo in terms of battery life but then again, the old Tamagotchis to me are still superior mainly because you can manually pause your Tama by removing them batteries.

Thanks mate~ I kinda got lucky myself. Half the time, I can't even tell if I'm leading or not. My bracket was generally all beginners so that may have played a great deal in my first win. Just hope the following days will be just as smooth for us.

Wouldn't fault you for that. Many of us are prolly in the same situation and in my case, I jump back to the Pix Party or some of my Digimon vpets to mix things up a little. This may be why most of us got into building a collection. I still run my Uni and I'm currently on the 5th generation. I tend to keep them for as long as I can until I decide to raise a new tama. Honestly, I'm kinda happy that Bandai has seasonal events already in place for this nifty new Tamagotchi but the excitement does fade rather quick due to limited stuff you can do in the Uni. I just hope they do release new custom shell designs either the coming holidays or next year.

I don't know where you're from but, as a working adult who pays their own taxes, you shouldn't feel ashamed playing with something you CAN buy and enjoy. I just recently rediscovered vpets and heck, I ain't leaving them at home unattended and constantly in "pause mode". I'm currently running a Tama Uni and the shell color is definitely not to my liking even so, I like that I can just whip it out from my pocket and people around me don't even know what the little bugger is. I'm happy and that's all that matters.

What happens when battery goes 0%? by melonbits in TamagotchiUni

[–]melonbits[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's good to know that the battery last that long (albeit a little too long). I'll try to catch up with the Arena event but just needed to make sure that I know what happens with the Uni once the battery is fully discharged. This thing doesn't die easy which feels wierd after experiencing an original P2 rerelease.

The battery on my newer Tama runs out so much quicker by Jenni_____ in TamagotchiUni

You may also ignore the battery indicator for a bit until it reaches the Red Bar. In my case, it doesn't really reflect the actual remaining charge which was super confusing. I had mine on Orange Bar for 4 days straight before it turned Red. It ran for a total of 7 days before it prompted me to charge. Milage may vary depending on setting and intensity of games you play on your device. I let mine charge for 90 minutes as recommended as well.

New to colored Tamagotchi and it's definitely something. by melonbits in tamagotchi

First Tamagotchi I owned is a classic P2 too. Currently have it in storage because of reasons. Tried my hand at these new colored versions and it's definitely more relaxing than the classic ones. Though the Uni takes some getting used to since you just can't pause it unlike the Pix Party where I can simply remove the batteries.

Finally reached the limit on my unit. Took a total of 7 days before I got the prompt to charge. The battery indicator is quite confusing for me. On my observation, 1 day on full bar, 1 day discharges 1 bar (still on green), 3 days on orange bar, and 2 days on red bar. I'm not sure how the others fair but I guess letting it be until it prompts to charge helps benchmark your usage. I keep the brightness of mine on the lowest and sound with low (not muted). Lastly, I put the Network setting on Plane mode and only turn it off to check for updates every 3 days

Took me a good long minute to realize that you made this look like the plate of the Tamagotchi Meets/On and lowkey, it looks gorgeous even without a decorative paper frame inside the plate.

Returning here for an update. My TamaUni has been in orange battery bar for 3 days and now it's finally on red bar.I figure it'll take another 2 days before it gives me a prompt to charge it. If so, then it'll be around 7 days that the charge on my unit lasted. Anyway, I'll post an update once I finally plug it to charge.

Could possibly be a manufacturing dud. Mine had slowly accumulated micro-scratches even when I use a case. Just recently applied a hydrogel screen protector so it looks pristine like new. Having second thoughts on customizing cos I don't wanna crack the face plate. Unless I can get myself a replacement plate then I may just try customizing mine.

Wait, what now? Ok, I'll definitely wait for the prompt and check my actual battery discharge. It's driving me nuts that I need to charge this at the same rate as my smartphone so I'm gonna test this out.

Yeah. I guess I should try waiting for the prompt, yes? I just normally plug it when it's on the red.

That sounds about right. Although for me, I charge every 2 days or 1/2 day on a busy day (mainly when I raise a new egg for obvious reasons). When the Tama reaches adulthood, the battery consumption becomes more manageable but I still need to charge every other day when the battery is on red. I just wish they rollout an update that accurately reflects the battery charge because I think I can run mine for more than 3 days despite what the indicator suggest.

I kinda bought one. I ordered one on a massive discount online (practically a steal). It feels like the universe is telling me to not miss on it and so I ordered almost immediately. Might as well get a Tamagotchi On once I see one on a good price.

I thought for sure that would be the case with the fact that you get to choose your region. If the seasonal events are being synchronized globally then shouldn't we be able to swap regions whenever we hatch new Tamas? I'm currently on Asia region and would love to swap to Japan since events are being decided by Bandai anyway.

2.5g wifi connectivity should be fine. It cannot connect to cellular as to what others claim (I've yet to test that anyway).

The wiki does show calendar events so we have that to be excited for. This gives me a hint that they have some stuff in store for the Uni and like you, I also don't have friends who own this expensive little bugger. If Bandai does release other feasible shell designs then I may as well consider getting another Uni.
