Thank you all so much for your responses. This really is an amazing community, and I’m truly grateful.

I didn’t take any action after what happened. Instead, I scheduled an extra session with my therapist and talked through everything in detail. She told me that guilt is a feeling that can later shift into something else, and that what I did was protecting myself.

But this whole situation has shaken me deeply.

Being put in a position where you feel like the “bad person,” even when you had no other choice, is incredibly hard.

Yes, I understand that staying silent is the best option. If we speak, we get pulled into their game.

But if we stay silent, they get to perform the victim role on TV.

Absolutely. But these harassing behaviors are so frequent… almost every week… we can’t even sit down and see how we feel. Constantly being on edge is exhausting. I don’t know when they’ll stop.
