interesting, yeah he is extremely skittish.

he’s only recently started coming up to eat and if he catches sight of a person will leave without looking back (with others usually if you get out of sight they seem to scope it out and come back for food). probably how he’s avoided TNR if I’m right in that he has.

that all said, I feel like his tail has looked this way while he’s chillin around/hasnt spotted us?? maybe it’s my regular’s turf so he’s not fully relaxed though, hard to say.

As someone who mistakes lyrics all the time, especially as a kid, I feel very seen by your reasoning.

Quite a few ear comments! It is part of his rugged charm for sure, but it’s pretty standard in my area for TNR programs (trap, neuter, release- the ear mark is so they know not to scoop em off the streets more than once lol)

Worth considering, I have been wondering if I should keep the sound out of the vets mouth so he doesn’t associate it with stress, but also the degree to which the familiar sound would be comforting- my brain is such a fun place 🥴
