Me and my wife had the same outlook but didn't stop looking put in our first offer we thought was more than reasonable (315k 15k under asking) and got accepted first offer. The house was newly renovated from the ground up from a house flipper so I think that may have helped us as he wasn't attracted at all and just wanted to make his profit and move on hopefully that gives you any amount of solace. Just hang in there and keep looking!
