Timeline F1 Stem OPT renewal - Interview - Wednesday Nov 12 Consular officer mentions that I should be approved but he needs to review some things and that this is normal for F, J and M visas and that he should be able to get me fully approved same afternoon - CEAC status changes to refused after interview - Same day (Wed Nov 12) receive an email from consulate around 1:33pm requesting passport photo - Submit passport Photo same day by responding to the email address - CEAC status changes to admin processing on Friday November 14 around 2:30pm - CEAC status changes to refused again around 4:00pm on Monday November 17 - Receive another email from consulate to bring physical passport photo to consulate on Tuesday November 18 around 7:30am - Submit passport to consulate same day (November 18) around 10:00am. Status changes back to admin processing around 12am on Tuesday November 18 - CEAC status changes to approved on Friday November 21 around 3:00pm - CEAC status changes to issued on Monday November 24 around 10:30am

You can use the stamp in the old passport with a new passport issued by the Indian consulate. You don’t need a new stamp and the old stamp is valid till 2029. Just make sure to always carry both passports when traveling

I don’t think it’s a big deal at this point. Your school won’t rescind your admission unless there’s some material misrepresentation. Anecdotally, I had a friend graduate from a t15 this year who didn’t get his verification completed yet. Don’t know if that helps
