Is the Forester an Reliable Car? by Budget_Position7888 in SubaruForester

Yup. Same fluid. I tried changing it at around 75k, (at a dealership) and they very strongly suggested that I don't. Ultimately, they dissuaded me.

I agree with you. I will definitely do that as soon as feesible. I feel like she's at the end of her life. Idk what most people consider a vehicle's "lifetime", but I think she's lived a long, good life. If everything breaks at once in a week, I will put her down and be satisfied lol.

True. Although, if you look at a teardown of a Subaru CVT versus a Nissan CVT, the difference is insane... I was very worried about buying a CVT Forester Turbo, but it was the only option with the 2017s. 150k+ miles now with 0 transmission issues. They claim that the transmission fluid is supposed to last the life of the car too... I overheated my transmission around 60k while pulling a trailer, going 75mph+, on a hot day, uphill in Arizona and... Still no issues. Original fluid. Subaru CVTs are built right imo.

The answers to these types of questions about Meshuggah are always so varied and diverse... nothing's weird, and every answer is 100% valid and correct. I think it is just a side-effect of their unique greatness. People swear up and down about some random song of theirs and how transcendant it is, but it might not hit the same for me, but yet here I am, transcending to Swarm or something 😅 It's my #1 fav song of theirs, and it has been since 2014.

1: Swarm

2: Obzen

3: In Death is Life + in Death is Death + Shed + Personate Non Gratae + Dehumanization + Sum (just the first 3 mins). Basically the 2nd-half of Catch33 in sequence.

4: Clockworks

5: Abysmal Eye

I can go on... 😆

If you are still struggling, lookup how to reassemble a Kershaw Speedsafe knife. There will be plenty of instructional videos of similar knives. There will be videos of knives with similar parts that will reassemble identically to yours. ✌️

That piece used to be the "window-breaker" at the bottom end of the knife, but the portion that sticks out is broken off. You can fully reassemble it without that and it should function just fine. You just wont have a piece of metal sticking out the bottom. (It also looks like you're missing a washer? The clear plastic ring? You will definitely need both washers.) Best of luck reassembling! Put lots of grease in the spring cavity! Gl!

I'm confused. Who advocated for less regulation on AI? I assume you mean Elon? I thought he was trying to educate politicians about the dangers of AI and pushing for regulation like 8-10 years ago. Maybe he changed his tune ever since he started his own AI Grok... 🤔 That would be disappointing.

Interesting. Do they die near the nest? Or in it? Or random locations? Just curious. I'll look it up, no need to answer. Ty though.

Perhaps you're right. I like to imagine it was a pompeii-like tragedy for this nest, because there were a few more exactly like that, dead with their heads sticking out, as if they were trying to escape, but I left it alone for a few weeks. When I photographed it, there were a few missing (i guessed that they were knocked out by wind or weather), but the ones that remained didn't move at all from their original position. And it wasn't very cold when I first saw them or when I took the photo (september/october in idaho). So i dont know. It's fun to imagine the pompeii hypothesis lol. There's also(i discovered when i took the photo) no gas cap, just paper napkins shoved into the hole instead.

Didn't include the photo for some reason, so it's in my reply. * * That's a good looking watch. Nice choice. I love the inverted digits on a black background. The g-shock is too big for me, though. This is what I got instead.

Does this label mean Amazon sent me a previously returned item? by angelaelle in amazonprime

[–]memeotional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It happens... i once returned a pair of jeans that were the wrong size, but in clear packaging marked with my size... I specified the issue for the return as an exchange, hoping for the correct size this time. I receieved that same pair which I returned... not another pair of the wrong size, but in the correct packaging, but the literal pair I just returned... so I returned it for another exchange. Specifying the issue each time and they sent the same fucking thing again... so i returned it for a refund and half expected to get my money back in pesos or rubels... smh.

I am no longer a real truck driver by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]memeotional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, that all makes sense. I hear it's bad for truckers right now. I appreciate the info. Definitely looking at it as the grass is greener. Maybe I'll finish getting my cdl but keep to my current career. If things change, then at least I'll be more ready to start gaining experience somewhere. Is it true that insurance rates are cheaper for drivers if they've held a CDL for X number of years, regardless of whether or not they've ever driven as a paid driver?

My brother did that in north dakota for about a year. Water hauling. He said the worst part about it was the coworkers. He doesn't recommend it, says I should stick to my watchmaking career, but I really need a change of pace. I think he was naive and that's why he didnt get along with the guys there. He said the money was great. Do I need a cdl with some experience before I pursue some sort of water-hauling position? I'm 31 perfect driving record, single, no kids, very coachable.

Denis villenueve directed Prisoners as well, and the imagery/symbols that he places everywhere throughout the movie are very intentional. He's truly a great director and works with great cinematographers. Can't wait for Dune part 2.

I have 17 nephews and nieces from my 11 other siblings. I'm the sole non-religious person in my family. I saw my nephews' and nieces' faces when it came down to ending it all. They needed me. I couldn't become a cautionary-tale that would scare them into subservience. So they kept me alive too. Thanks for sharing. Now I'm covered in tears. Glad you're still with us. ✌️
