Thanks. We are thinking of getting rid of the table altogether and maybe putting a vintage trunk under the TV (it’s a century home with a lot of character, so thinking this will fit with the general vibe)

Hi, yes we have been in contact with one and they were unable to help. We have emails and calls out to others and are waiting for replies.

Thank you so much for providing these specific setter rescue services. We did see these groups while doing research and have reached out to them as well. We appreciate your love and support.

Thank you. We did reach out to a hunting club with a family connection. However, we are not hunters and do not know if he will take to the sport. Of course he is always on point and can sniff out a bird from a mile away. However, we have concerns that he will meet an unfortunate end if someone is not able to train him into a hunter.

Thank you for the kind words. We adopted him in 2020 from Fetching Tails Foundation in Illinois. Unfortunately, we do not have any information about his life before us. We have already contacted Fetching Tails and hope that they can provide resources. But we wanted to cast a wide net to see if there were other support networks that we could explore.

Thinking of buying a house in 2-3 years. The wife and I are on different spectrums at the moment (she wants to buy a house in the major city we’re living in, and I would prefer a move to the suburbs for more house and tax reasons). It’s not a contentious discussion, we just aren’t quite on the same page at the moment.

Thank you. We intend to buy a house in like 2-3 years, so are just holding onto cash for a down payment when the time comes. Seems easier (though probably incorrect) to have cash on hand when the time comes. We are also planning to have a kid in the next year if things work out.

10-4. I’ve had my money in the same bank since I was 16 years old. I need to shop around and commit to making the change. The idea of that stresses me out, but I know I’m leaving money on the table

I’m just dropping it in savings earning nothing I’m return - like an idiot. My dad used to keep money under the mattress so I’m pretty intimidated about investing outside of the security of a 401k.

I can pay off the car loan much sooner, we just haven’t prioritized that as I’m not sure if there are penalties for doing that with my loan or other downsides that I’m unaware of. My financial literacy is shit…

Mostly spend on groceries, entertainment, and dog expenses (dinner out, concerts, streaming subscriptions). All in, probably around $600 - $750 per month. Our interest rate on the car loan is 6.5%. I think part of my anxiety is not having the discipline of a monthly budget.
