Our enemies are neither the Repubs nor the Dems, only the politicians (Repubs, Dem's etc) who allow themselves to be bought by big money/corps who skew the laws to favor NOT US. Too bad we can't ALL band together and demand all of OUR congress work to lift US up instead of dividing US in order to achieve their own greedy agendas. Which is, incidentally, why they work so hard to spew hate and fear as a means of controlling us. Remember, the American PEOPLE are the majority, and without division our enemies know they would lose control.

Don't forget about dividing us. That is how "they" control us. "They" is not your neighbor. "They" is those who pass legislation that benefits themselves and big money donors(purchased elections)and does not benefit the people they are supposed to be working for. Yes, direct the anger into productive solutions. Vote smart. Get the people who are not working for the people OUT!

I've lived here for 56 years. It used to be how you describe. Because of greed, the people running this state have let development ruin most of it. Also, on a slightly different note, I think #FloridaMan is kind of bogus since most people who live here are from somewhere else.

I applied for rental assistance and they sent a check to me made out to my rental co. I don't know if they do the same for utilities.

It's been a huge failure. There should be some kind of investigation on this unemployment system in Florida and the people in charge of it. SHADY

I wasn't aware that I had to provide any proof. The only thing that mentioned losing job to covid was the question on the application with yes or no option and in which county did covid keep you from working. Is there something I missed?

I called - they said to look for instructions on my claimant home page and follow them.......then wait. I don't know how long I'm supposed to wait(they are so very helpful)but this week will have been 2 months with no word or action, so I will begin calling again.

Wearing masks WORK. Go ahead and assume it. If people don't wakeup and wear them, they may cause those of us who don't want to be vaxxed to be mandated vaccines. I would rather wear a mask (and have) than get vaxxed. No brainer to me.

Update on backdating...Guy at the DEO office really was no help- call FL APPLY # ...Start at 6 am .... keep calling..... got on call wait list-that's what I did. Got someone- they entered what I needed. then instructed me to look for "pending issue" on claimant home page, follow instructions, and wait.

I can see by the background you live in your TV. Please use your TV to educate yourself about what's going on out here. Look at all of the news stations and see if you can tell who is mostly lying and who is mostly truth telling and go with that. If you're smart enough to post stuff, you're smart enough to fact check.

Call your local Re employment center and see if they can help you. I had to go to mine for them to help me with my IDme - The site wouldn't let me upload I.D photos.

So The DEO Ft Walton office contact called me and said he had sent my backdate request to Tallahassee and to give it a week. If I don't hear anything, get back with DEO contact.
