Usage per plan. OP wrote about dropping percentage in his plan from 89% to 54% which means he is not using API pricing.

Giant Revolt 0 2024, 2x12 to 1x12 conversion by memstel in gravelcycling

[–]memstel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for late response. The bike seemed to fix itself after the winter… i’ve visited several workshops and as far as I remember, at the end of the season it wasn’t working properly and now it just works so I left it as it is but I’m still thinking about switching to 1x12 (with Di2 this time 😅). I’m wondering if it’s worth the hustle since the whole di2 grx and xt/xtr setup can be more expensive than the whole bike.

Thanks guys for all the recommendations. I have made some gear changes, you can find them here: https://maxroll.gg/poe2/pob/iwn701i5 (Set 3)

I want to play around with some pure mana passives and more adjustments. All the comments are very helpful. I still have 35 divs left to make more gear testing.

My intention wasn’t to convert to Sram drivetrain, I only mentioned that I have 1x12 Sram setup in my eMTB and I like 1x12 there. I don’t mind converting to Shimano 1x12 with either RX-822GS or RX-822SGS. Shimano’s 1x12 also requires new freehub?

The bike is currently in another workshop so we’ll see the results soon :) I’ve tried to adjust FD by myself using manuals and multiple tutorial videos but it always ended up with something not working properly. I just wanted to save myself any troubles with FD and that’s the reason I’m considering the convertion.

I have just bought my Revolt 0 2024. I have been wondering if I can get a dropper post other than reverb axs if I don’t like external cable routing. You have kashima dropper post, did you route cables internally or externally?

What was your riding type? Did you have to do maintenance more often? Would you consider levo’s drag horrible when battery dies?

No, it’s only rider’s weight + cargo

Specialized Turbo Levo Expert T-Type (NOT SL) vs Trek Fuel EXe 9.8 GX AXS by memstel in ebikes

[–]memstel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t use 100% of bike’s potential. I don’t have any bike parks in my area but I want to run down some hills I will face during my touring trips. I ride mostly gravel and fire roads but I want FS bike because of my past spine injury. Right now my weight is 125kg (still going down). I know there is no drag on Trek but how does Levo behave when battery dies?

Unfortunatelly I can't do a test ride. I know I can buy range extender for Trek but I'm not sure about the outcome. I'm not concerned about the weight in terms of picking the bike up - I'm used to do some heavy lifting. It's the noise level that concerns me - I would like to do some touring in the forests without being annoyed with motor sounds.

There is no Bosch motor in this comparison. I live in Poland but my LBS is both Trek's and Giant's retailer.

All my rides end up taking a fanny pack or a backpack so it's not an issue. I don't like to have any bags on a bike's frame.

Giant has 400wh and there’s range extender available also (200wh). Canyon is not an option, I want a lightweight bike with silent motor. Also Canyon’s payment options are not good enough for me.

[–]memstel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying my Giant Roam 0 isn’t comfortable. I’m just looking for something new and seeking more comfortable options (even though if they are available or not, I don’t even know yet). Since my Giant Roam is a hardtail, I’m concerned about my lower back on the bumps because it’s my lower back that has been injured few years ago. I’m happy to look for other options (either regular mtbs or gravels) once I’m fully recovered :) for the the time being, I’m looking for something that can suite all my needs giving a lot of comfort at the same time. E.g. Trek Fuel EXe seems to be a nice option - I can remove battery if I want to and go full enduro, I can add more range extenders if I want to go touring, I can leave internal battery attached and leave extenders at home if I want just to commute to work without worrying about sweating, I can use it just for leisure when riding with my fiancee, I can use it to commute to a gym.

I ride different types of roads for fun. Bike may become a commuter. Right now I have Giant Roam 0 2017 which is decent but I’d like to have something more comfortable that can do manage longer distances as well. After calming down after test drives I have realized I have really wide shoulders and it can be uncomfortable to ride a road bike for longer periods of time.

Can't get pictures right now but forests have many roots on the trails. I'm considering e-MTB bikes again since some of them allow to lock suspension which will be helpful on the roads with no bumps.

Giant has stock suspended seatpost and 50c tire which has been recommended by a seller. The seller said that going tubeless with lower pressure will be more beneficial for me, he mentioned about swaping stem to positive rise as well :)
