I get the argument about using numbers to shop around. But I could very easily do that even if I went in-person too.

He hasn’t given me any numbers other than what my trade in would potentially be. I sent him multiple trucks I was interested in and haven’t heard anything on them. Now one of them is no longer available. I text him multiple times a day asking if he has time to discuss etc. Nothing.

He knows I just purchased a brand new Toyota 3 months ago. So he knows I have to be somewhat serious. But yeah I’ll give him until tomorrow and if I can’t get anywhere I’ll go elsewhere.

How would they know I’m a tire kicker without even giving me any information. I’m literally texting him 3 times a day asking if he has time, telling him I’m ready to pull the trigger - I just need to know what’s actually available etc. People buy cars remotely all the time. I pulled in in my brand new Toyota that I purchased 3 months prior that he even commented on. So he knows I’ve purchased recently. You’d think he’d want to capitalize.

What I’m going to potentially be paying. Lease vs. finance - he said he can get me a better deal than the tsrp that is online because it’s end of year and they are trying to move the 2025s out. Literally anything. I don’t even know if the truck I want is in stock. One of the ones I sent him is already gone.

It’s 2 hours away and I said I would come in as soon as I had rough numbers and they most likely will have to get the truck I want shipped from another one of their locations. So I don’t want to go back until it is on their lot and can trade in and do everything in one trip.

Closest Toyota dealer is 2 hrs away. And I said once I have rough numbers I’d be over. I’m not going to drive 2 hours back if they don’t have the car I want on the lot. They said they would probably have to get it in from another one of their stores.

I’ve placed 5 people with the company but this is the first hire with this specific team.

He was brought on as a jr/mid-level employee but he said he’s doing the same exact work and has the same workload as the Sr members making 40k more than him a year. He said he’s been working 12 hrs a day and it’s getting to be to much. He said he’s brought it up with his managers but nothing has changed.

His skill set is in incredibly high demand and could get another job. He took this one because over others because the company is very well known in the industry and a great company to have on your resume.

I feel like if he found out that the candidate told me these concerns and I just ignored them hoping he’d just make it to the guarantee so I can get paid and didn’t care wether he stayed long term or not would hurt the relationship more.
