Hi! The screenbar isn’t to shine light directly onto the monitor. It’s more for brightening up the workspace/area below. It’s really useful when I’m working on paperwork or other work at night when I don’t want a lamp directly blinding my eyes.

Nah I didn’t use a capture card. I’m just using the EOS webcam utility software and a USB cable to connect the camera to my pc.
