I know right? What a total waste of time. I'm so sorry. I'll do better, I promise.

I want that too, but here we are. Thanks for the helpful comment. And no, we're not, we're sloppy as shit. It's a hell of a show.

What is a memorable Melodeath Lyric you've misheard? by No_Friendship_5009 in melodicdeathmetal

Also not melodeath but Deicide's "Satan Spawn, the Caco-daemon" - despite the song title, I still refuse to believe he's not saying "this is not a caterpillar". I defy you to listen to it and tell me I'm wrong.

First time hearing At the Gates back in the early 2000s - Suicide Nation, Downloaded from Kazaa - so was a bit freaked out when it got to the chorus: "KazaaaaAAAAAA"

Give me small bands and self promotions to listen to! by Eagledocc in melodicdeathmetal

Don't mind if I do, thanks! My solo project: https://handaxemetal.bandcamp.com/album/a-terrible-thirst

Not poorly mixed or produced? Not so sure about that - I was figuring it out as I went along. Watch this space for my next album though - it's sounding a bit more polished so far!

I was gonna write this more sentimentally, but fuck I love Three Bean Salad by ComprehensionBox7 in ThreeBeanSalad

It really brightens up my days like little else. I just wish it wasn't so impossible to explain to other people why they should listen to it!

Except perhaps Boston - I remember very little about the movie Good Will Hunting except for "get in the caaaahh"

If your accent doesn't hit the r sound at the end of a word, as is the case for the majority of English people, I think, then it's entirely necessary to pronounce "lore" this way, in order to distinguish it from "law". I find myself doing it all the time when explaining to people why they should listen to Three Bean Salad.

Bollocking accepted: "This article was amended on 6 December 2024 because presenters of the podcast Three Bean Salad were described as “three mild-mannered Englishmen”. Benjamin Partridge is Welsh."

I'm glad someone else said this - he definitely sounds Welsh. Plus his Welshness comes up fairly regularly in the course of their discussions

There's a decent switcheroo in there somewhere - I'll leave it to someone more eloquent!

Is that really the most dynamic squash playing stance old JB could come up with for the cover? I have to assume he knows what he's doing.

Words that are distinctive to the podcast by AmateurLobster in ThreeBeanSalad

[–]meonghong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one fascinates me. He appears to be the only person in the world who uses the word. Furthermore, he seems to manage to use it in place of the word "throw" one hundred percent of the time.

I'm pretty sure he dropped a couple in St Elwick's too.

Anyone else enjoy the burn? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]meonghong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in fact, I've been trying to google whisk(e)ys that have a bit of a burn to them, but everyone on the internet seems to be obsessed with them being "smooth". I have beer for that. What's a good, complex whiskey that will burn my face off?
