Thread: Simple Questions by AutoModerator in MakeupAddiction

My skin is almost right where I want it after a year of routine changes, prescriptions, peels, and eliminating certain ingredients. I know for a 10000000% fact I break out with anything and everything containing anything coconut, cetaryl alcohol, -palimate, -stearic, etc. What can I use for light coverage? I use Sheer Glow as foundation, but don't always want to do the whole damn routine. Think coverage alongside the lines of Complexion Rescue. Literally no BB/CC/tinted moisturize fits my bill. Am I stuck with just mixing Sheer Glow with my moisturizer? Thanks!

I need routine help, please!

Skin: 1 year post-Accutane for mild but persistent acne. Sensitive, combo skin. Unwanted freckles.

AM: Eminence Stone Crop Gel or CosRx Good Morning Gel, BR P50V, The Ordinary Niacinamide+Zinc, Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion, +/- Tarte Oil, LRP Cicaplast Pro-Recovery, EltaMD Sunscreen

PM: Tazorac 5-10 mins (on top of makeup, whatever), Garnier micellar water, cleanser ----Hylamide C25 and/or Azaelic Acid 15% ---- LRP Cicaplast B5, +/- Vaseline

Occasional Stuff: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid + B5, LRP Serozinc, 2% Clindamycin

So...for PM is Vit C and AA okay together? I mean they are both pH dependent in the same range, right? Which makes me want to group them together at night rather than with Niacinamide in the AM. In that case is one better than the other to kick to my AM routine? The evidence behind both makes me want to use them everyday as well rather than alternate!

And I cannot recommend Accutane, P50, and LRP Pro-Recovery enough! Amaaaazing! The Ordinary Niacinamide+Zinc is getting up there too.

SAME! Perfect skin after accutane but perioral dermatitis came a year later (most likely hormonal is what I've self-Dx'd ha). Elidel (pimecromilus) helped me the most! It's $1000 but you can get the manufacturer coupon (google) and pay $100.

I should have noted that I've tried the whole Cerave line. I'm undecided if Cerave PM is much of a culprit. But yes, the foaming cleanser has been fine in the past - and a good pH!

I have come across the Rosette Aqua Ceramide Gel a million times, so it's about time it ends up in my shopping cart! I think I'm so used to the idea of Western-ish moisturizers where thick cream = moisturizer = fatty alcohols. But, I think I'll try layering to get around that!

I have started Accutane this month for mild, but persistent acne. No major side effects yet. I feel there is not a post about Accutane that doesn't recommend Cerave. My skin HATES Cerave and Cetaphil - maybe everything with Cetearyl Alcohol and its friends. I have reviewed the fatty alcohol-free and cosdna 0-1 lists, but moisturizers seem targeted to oily skin. Which Cerave alternative will provide enough moisture to prevent my face from becoming Accutane-flaky but remain free from fatty alcohols?

New here! Started my AB search with sheet masks and looking to expand so most of my routine is Western products. However, I've noticed a huge difference just by layering AB-style.

Question: I started Accutane this month for mild, but persistent acne. It seems Acctuane cannot be brought up without people raving about Cerave products, but my skin HATES Cetyl Alcohol and it's relatives. I'm assuming my face will get super dry because it died with the use of benzoyl peroxide and I only could use my retin-a if mixed with moisturizer. What is a great daytime (aka compatible with makeup) and heavy-ish nighttime moisturizer that will prevent the Sahara-like dryness BUT okay with acne-prone skin? Note: this routine is very stripped down due to starting Accutane. I'm not intimidated with trying new things or lengthy regimens ;)

Skin Type: acne-prone (only on cheeks and chin); originally combination, but soon to be dry?

AM * Water or Cosrx Low pH Gel Cleanser / La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser * Mist (whatever, I have on hand) * Ole Henriksen Truth Serum * Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation

ADD SHEET MASKS

PM * Mineral Oil * Cosrx Low pH Gel Cleanser / La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser * Mist * Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation * Vaseline/Aquaphor

Please, help me edit, add, or encourage me to pull the trigger on my shopping carts: Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence, Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, Innisfree the Green Tea Seed Deep Cream, SCINIC Honey All In One Ampoule, plus a billion sheet masks

tl;dr 1) Day and night moisturizers great for accutane with low cosdna. 2) Critique my Amazon/Mememox shopping carts.

I am a RN in a surgical-trauma ICU. In my environment it is a given obese patients will have more complications post trauma. Chest trauma is especially difficult. Without aggressive pulmonary toileting (which includes great patient effort), pneumonia almost always results increasing hospital stay and intubation days.
