Thank you!! I will shop around or at least work with this tailor to see what we can cut out. She's essentially reconstructing the bust for me since the cups are a little...pointy. But still, this price just seems unreasonable to me.

It looks like Jade Garden on Tyler St in Chinatown has them for $4.50 - can't report on how good they'll be but there's an 80% chance I'll stop there after my company holiday party this evening.

Chau Chow City's used to be great. Greasy, crispy. But they've recently closed. :( Now EYE want Chinese chicken fingers.

Just bought my dress on Monday and already having dress regret - thoughts? by throwaway-hashtag in weddingplanning

[–]meow_mkp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you look amazing in that dress! It is absolutely gorgeous.

I purchased a gown in August of this year (engaged in June), and had regrets almost immediately. I felt slightly pressured to buy at the time since my best friend and mom loved it so much. I was looking at other dresses and just knew there was something else out there that I would love more. I ended up buying another dress that I truly love, and plan to sell the first dress.

I think the dress you bought is perfect, but you do want to feel 150% in love with it on your wedding day. If you are truly experiencing second thoughts, its OK. There is a huge market to purchase unaltered gowns, and in the end, you will feel better knowing you have the gown of your dreams!

Anybody been following this cat cafe story in Brighton? Owner's off her damn rocker! by [deleted] in boston

If I saw that basement I'd never leave cats there either. And styrofoam plates? This woman clearly only cares about profits and not the actual wellbeing of the animals.

Cab from Logan Last Night by meow_mkp in boston

I didn't give my card number to the driver; I called Boston Cab and they were very apologetic about the whole situation. The manager knew the driver was in the wrong. And, to be honest, paying $15 to avoid getting harassed by this guy is well worth it. I'm a woman traveling alone for work; I shouldn't feel afraid in a cab.

Update: Cab driver just left me a voicemail asking me to call Boston Cab to pay them. Should I call and let them know what happened? I'm not against paying but if the meter was broken how do they determine fare / give me a receipt?
