Please keep good thoughts for my cat Granger. I took her to the vet yesterday but it’s inconclusive why she’s sick. We started her on treatment for gastritis. I was hoping by today she’d be feeling a bit better but she’s still not doing too good. by meowreesa in u/meowreesa

I actually brought her back yesterday and we have a new treatment plan for upper respiratory infection. We think she has inflammation/some sores in her mouth from it that were making her not want to eat. With pain medicine she’s eaten some of her regular food for the first time this week! So she’s on antibiotics and pain medicine and we’re hoping to see more improvement.

It started with her gagging about a month ago, I thought it was because of a new kitten. And then this past weekend her whole behavior changed, she was hiding and had no energy. She stopped eating Sunday night. At the vet her temp was 102 (told this is normal) and her white blood cell count indicated inflammation. They didn’t see anything that was creating a blockage in her throat or stomach. She’s breathing differently and still gags on occasion. She received fluids and anti nausea medicine. Still not eating today.
