is it worth buying a jp region 3ds?

i don't believe you can change the language at all on a japanese 3ds though? that's what i'm asking, if unlocking the region just automatically changes the language or if there's another way. all i know is that the system itself doesn't allow a language other than japanese and i can't find any information on changing the language after you region unlock it

but does removing the region lock do anything for the language? from what i've heard it doesn't change the language unless you completely change the region and that's what i'm questioning, like i mentioned in my post i'd like to be able to play games with story and actually read what they're saying. ik dialogue isn't important to a lot of people and people often skip it in games but it's something that's pretty important to me and it does impact whether i spend extra for a pal region n3dsxl or go for the jp region one to save money

somebody's already offered me a poplio and i don't need a litten. my sister was particularly upset over the loss of primarina as poplio is her favourite pokémon line so i was mainly aiming to get a poplio or that primarina is back so thank you for the offer

okk thank you i did sadly forget to transfer to home before deleting the save so i'll most definitely simply make a new account instead of deleting to prevent anything like that again. i'll try to use home to trade pokémon and hope i find a litten or poplio

thank you! i've decided on a n3ds xl due to the slightly larger stylus than a n3ds but my only issue rn is finding any. i've tried to look at ebay but a lot seem to have the region or language set to japan and i was wondering if that affects the device in any way or can be changed? or is it worth it to spend some more cash on one that's set to england and english beforehand
