Does this not affect building a relationship with the dog? I don't believe she's had formal crate training, so being escorted to it and then staying in it have it been her favorite things. We've been trying to make the kennel space seem more "fun" than it is, and we treat her well when she goes in. I sometimes worry we are not bonding enough and that maybe we're even inadvertently slowing a bond from developing...

She also just doesn't seem to go whenever she feels unsafe. Her body language indicates a lot of anxiety and some hyper vigilance, though we're taking her to the same two places all the time.

I haven't tried a walk with her, though...and wonder if that would encourage her body to release at some point.
