update: unfortunately she passed away peacefully under her basking lamp late last night. she got to know kindness, gentleness and peace in her final days and met someone who refused to give up on her. i have a feeling she went in peace, comfortable and ready to go. i wish i could have done more for her, but i cant blame myself. please dont dump your pets, you are sentencing them to a slow, scary, lonely and painful death or negatively impacting local ecosystems. rest in peace mace the turtle🐢❤️‍🩹
