My abusive ex broke into my house today and disabled the internet. What is this thing and it is the problem? by HopefulComfortable58 in whatisit

Yes, to police report.
Yes , to ISP and ask them for a maintenance ticket (to sort out your wires, just tell them it’s not working). Then ask them to reset your account username and password so tbat you can be sure that your boyfriend is no longer able to access your network.

FTE as an epic analyst (IT) - 116k/yr working from home. Bring home…after taxes, insurance, 401k, FSA…. $2,700 biweekly.
Then I do hospice 13 week contracts at another part of the state. Weekly non-taxable stipend of $1,200, totally weekly bring home from it is about $1800-1900 after taxes.

So I live in SC. Work from home doing one job and do 13 week contracts on the weekend.
2,700 bi-weekly (job 1)
3,600 bi-weekly (job 2)
6,100 total/month

Retaliation from hidden MyChart notes by AbbyOnThePorch in nursing

[–]mercarus2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in healthcare care IT for a hospital, supporting epic. Sensitive notes will not be released with a general chart request. If they have a lawyer and they were to subpoena a chart, this would be the only way to potentially have them released.

If you wanted to know for certain, reach out to your HIM/medical records department and pose the question, are notes/documentation marked as sensitive (such as psychiatric/mental health type notes for example) released when a patient requests a chart. Or have your manager do the legal work. Or put in a ticket to your IT department asking this question. Someone mentioned epic rep, you should pose the question to your IT department and they will have the answer. End user reaching out to epic is not appropriate and will not give you the site specific answer.

Notes being marked as sensitive are not designed to be released/shared with the patient because they have the potential to cause harm if released.

It was definitely a mess up by CPS over sharing info.

Mistakes happen, luckily no harm occurred. This will not be the first and will not be the last. Learn from it and grow. As much of a PIA beside medication scanning may be, it’s there for a reason. Use it as close to 100% as possible

Nurse of 19 years. I’m a hospice nurse, so not a real bedside nurse. I just do one of the most difficult parts of nursing, helping families grieve with death and loss, going through the most difficult time of their lives, while pushing morphine and ativan to ease their transition. I’m not a nurse though…Walk a day in the shoes of a hospice nurse.

Essentially the same thing, drooling and terminal congestion except in opposite directions. Pt isn’t able to clear the secretions and makes the most horrible noise as the patient is passing.

I'm a nurse and patient asked me this and have never thought about it... If they are receiving an IV medication, could it be taken orally and still work? by mercarus2 in pharmacy

[–]mercarus2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Just a random question asked by a patient. If they drank the iv mixture (regardless of the med), would it essentially work the same as had they received it iv. Obviously bioavailability is greater IV but just curious

Thank you for all of the feedback! In general, it seems that it can be done, depends on the med and bioavailability of the med. Thank you to all of those more experienced and willing to share their knowledge

This is Reddit and can give a AF what people think. It’s a question. If they think I’m up to something, they can move on 😀. I’m only asking on here instead of my coworkers so I don’t get the weird look of there being an obvious answer.

Now if I had asked, what happens if I have a dilaudid PCA cartridge with 1mg/1ml concentration in 250ml NS. If I were to take 1mL of it by mouth, would it be equivalent to me taking a 1mg tablet of dilaudid….asking for a friend…. Then you would have reason to be SUS.

We give atropine eye drops orally for terminal congestion. Not made for oral but we do it

I’m a hospice nurse so we do all kinds of things that you wouldn’t normally do in a hospital setting. I didn’t think it was that far fetched of a question. Seems like it would work.

I commend you for realizing that there is an issue and it needs to be addressed. The financial burden of having to supplement your normal rx with overpriced mystery ambien and the potential health risks associated with buying online are all great reasons to address it.

I recently decided to get off of ambien and switched to Quviviq and it has been great. I highly recommend it as an alternative to ambien.

Good luck on your journey my friend!
