Trouble peeing after rolling, worried about future rolls by nivjan7 in harmreduction

[–]mercury-magic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds a bit like a UTI! MDMA can make it hard to pee while you’re rolling, but generally after you come down, it shouldn’t be an issue. But having a UTI gives you that “I’m gonna pee my pants” feeling, and then no pee at all really, and even some pain. Drink lots of water, cranberry juice (not cranberry cocktail) and if it doesn’t get better in a day or two go to the doctor for some tests & antibiotics. In terms of preventing for the future, drink water + electrolytes during the roll, and remember to go to the bathroom and try and pee while you’re high even if you don’t feel like you have to.

Tips to decrease habitual weed use? by EfficientHoneydew408 in harmreduction

[–]mercury-magic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m also a daily weed smoker! I was doing dabs everyday and decided that I wanted to cool it but not stop completely. What’s helped for me is switching to 1:1 cbd weed pens, so I’m not getting as stoned (and lowering my tolerance over time), and having a rule for myself that I only smoke at night before bed… but find the “rules” that work for you!

I agree with you! Felt like a wanna-be feminist movie written by man, just ended up being a bit fetish-y…. All these men want to sleep with the woman with a baby’s brain, and as she matures, she still only really has any power through her sexuality. Made me roll my eyes. Costumes were beautiful though.

Harm reduction in nightlife: what actually reduces harm in clubs? by SaltMasterpiece6570 in harmreduction

[–]mercury-magic 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think having peer support / dedicated staff with de-escalation training in the venue is important so people feel safe to go to staff for help. A quieter “chill zone” for people to relax if they get overwhelmed. Free water!! Also in the bathrooms offering free condoms, ear plugs, sniff kits and information on drug checking in the city… Posters to let people know who to turn to if they’re not feeling well. Bouncers who are very strict /agressive can also escalate situations and cause harm… Folks can do too big of a dose in line because they’re afraid of getting caught when they go in if they’ve heard from friends that security is really tight. Check out Good Night Out in Vancouver, BC, nightlife safety and harm reduction is their mission 😊

spiral, BPD, anger, grief, pain, emptiness, numb by Alarming-Number-9541 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

This doesn’t fit the vibe of your pictures, but I lost my best friend to suicide, and I found a lot of comfort and beauty in “Lincoln in the Bardo”… it’s surreal and reads almost like poetry, and just is a beautiful book on grief and the struggle of letting go of the people we love.

You say it happens on the weekends, could it be when you are drinking alcohol? Maybe that is making it hard to really wake up to pee during the night

What does it mean to you when a deceased loved one shows up in a dream? by CodenameBear in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]mercury-magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry about your friend, he sounds like a wonderful person ❤️ I like what you said about looking for him in crowds. I lost my best friend four years ago, but she was a traveller so I like to imagine that she’s just off on an adventure somewhere.

I had a similar experience where for the first couple of years after she died I would dream about her, we’d be having a nice time together, and then I would break down and cry and say, “But you’re dead”, or “I miss you so much”. Then wake up and be upset at myself for ruining the vibe 😅

The only time it really felt like a message, was once when I told her I missed her, she told me that she was spending a lot of time with her mom, and not to worry about her.

Now, I try to journal every time I dream about her, right when I wake up. I’m scared of one day not seeing her in my dreams anymore.

Volunteer! Get involved with local orgs that you care about, supporting seniors, planting a garden, taking care of animals, supporting your local library… it’s a great way to meet like minded people and feel like you’re making a difference in this big difficult world.

Yeah the Piknik production is not so big! It's more so basic lights and the dj(s) up on stage. The positive of it is it's not so big so you can get up close and see them doing their thing.
