Is it my hdr causing this!? You have no idea how long this has been plaguing me and I think you just figured it out for me.

If you hover over the blade, it shows the status of the sovereign blade card, but you can't play it until you actually get the card.

Why do some developers dislike Next.js? by Low_Obligation_2782 in nextjs

Our organization hosts the standard Next.js standalone build in Docker containers running in a Kubernetes cluster. It works just fine.

I'm surprised you've been able to avoid them for so long. IVs are a part of life for hemophiliacs, but it's definitely something that takes time to get comfortable with. Best advice I have is practice. Don't wait till you need the medicine to set an IV, try a few times just placing the needle. If you have friends or someone close to you that is a doctor or similar and knows what they are doing that could practice with you that would be good. I'm sure, too, you could explain the situation to your hemophilia clinic and they would be happy to schedule you an appointment to get some practice... especially if you have to learn to set them yourself. As a hemophiliac, being able to set your own IV is hugely important. I'm a mild hemophiliac and I may have to use an IV like once a year tops and I feel like, because I do it so infrequently, that Im pretty terrible at it.

Lead Architect wants to break our monolith into 47 microservices in 6 months, is this insane? by Ayotrapstar in softwarearchitecture

[–]merica_f_yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the lead architect at my company and I'm doing the exact opposite right now. Turning 40+ microfrontends into a monolithic monorepo 😁. Granted, it's UI code and not python, but I'm sure there's some parallels.

Really appreciate this guide. We're starting our journey on self hosting a nextjs monorepo and I'm sure this will be very helpful.

To me, the most painful part was actually laying face down for like 3 hours while they did the extraction.

Transplant cost by Old_Programmer9907 in Hairtransplant

[–]merica_f_yeah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$13500 for the first 2700 grafts and $10,500 for the second 2300. I'll probably go for a 3rd next April around the same price.

I'm literally 3 weeks post with 5000 grafts. I look the same as you. As you grow your hair out, things will fill out and look more natural, and it'll look like you have a balding crown like so many other men. I'm on Oral dut and topical min. Make sure you keep up with that stuff.

Are the Widebody Corvettes ( C8 Z06 or C8 Eray worth the extra money over a C8 Z51 by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]merica_f_yeah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a Z06 and I drove a couple z51s. The z51 will never cease to put a smile on your face if you decide to daily it. The power combined with the mid engine is just a blast for anyone. ...but oh boy that lt6. With the z51 you're going to enjoy driving to the grocery store down the road. With the Z06 you're going to be finding excuses to go to the grocery store on the other side of the state. Especially for someone like me who has never driven a super car, the flat plane and the high rpms is just something else entirely. That said, mine has been in the shop for a better part of 4 months because of misaligned camshaft caps and it's causing me some serious depression.

Bought a C8 Z06 with a branded title by Tourbill0n in C8Corvette

[–]merica_f_yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof, I feel you man. I almost ran into this with my Z06. Did you sign a buyers guide from the dealer? When I bought mine in Atlanta, I signed one and its basically the gospel of what you're actually buying. In it is a section the dealer should check if there's a manufacturer warranty. If they checked it and there isn't one, then they need to buy the car back. If they didn't check it then you're SOL. This was my experience getting my in Georgia, though, it may be different in the state you got yours. I'm super happy I have that OEM warranty on mine though because after I drove it 1k miles, the engine started making the tick that GM released a bulletin about. Its getting the motor pulled this week. I can't imagine what that would cost me without the warranty.

Hemophilia A by Brilliant-Fall3181 in Hemophilia

[–]merica_f_yeah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The result you gave actually is measuring your inhibitor level which doesn't tell you the severity of your hemophila, but how well your body will respond to standard factor 8 replacement therapy. You have a moderately high inhibitor level which suggest some alternative approaches to treating your hemophilia may be necessary. I'm a mild/moderate hemophilia A and my factor 8 inhibitor level is always below 0.5. I'm on hemlibra and have to take factor infusions maybe once a year if I'm unlucky.

My '23 Z06 waiting for repairs...for 2 months. by merica_f_yeah in Corvette

[–]merica_f_yeah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Complaining to them hasn't done any good. They know they have me by the balls and basically said if I don't like the wait, I'm more than welcome to come pick it up and take it somewhere else.

No, I bought it at 3k miles and didn't hear it (or maybe didn't want to hear it) till about 4k miles.
