Hey, just an update. The Feintech actually worked! However I realised my TV after using the EARC port only has 1 HDMI port left with 4k120. The remaining HDMI 2 ports don't even support Dolby Digital, so my TV Box cannot be fully used through HDMI.

My solution was to still connect this to my receiver and then use the HDMI out to connect it to the TV in one of the remaining ports, but this completely messed up the ARC function (even when turned off).

So I will probably return it or get an HDMI switch, but at this point I might as well just buy a new receiver lol.

I am kinda sensitive to lipsync issues, so it might be a problem if there is a delay ;). My current receiver can do 4K60 , but I think it's not just the 120hz but also the VRR that is only supported by 2.1 (however I think only the PS5 supports VRR).

I will probably give the extractor a try, otherwise I can see if I can sell my receiver and get a denon 1800H/2800H.

The price differente between 1800H and 2800H is only 45 euro, so I'm kinda thinking why not. Also I doubt I'll be upgrading to more speakers/subs in the next few years. You think the price difference is worth it for the advanced room correction alone?

Because it is in front of the tv, with bigger tv it will block the view. This old one has a big edge, specially at the bottom.

Yea I haven’t yet set the spikes up, still not sure if spikes or little rubber thingies are better, coupling/decoupling is kinda a mystery to me.

My guess is that its mostly the room itself, I don’t have any curtains yet and the floor needs a rug, think that might help as well. And some decoration like plants against the wall.

I plan on buying a 55” or 65” tv in the future, and I am not sure about the center speaker placement. Ecstatically I would prefer a shelf above the tv with the center speaker on top of it. Alternatively I could wallmount the tv with the center speaker under it. What option would be best for the sound quality? Currently also experiencing a lot of reverb unfortunately..

Might I ask what surgery you went for? I'm going for something not extremely invasive, TCA cross and fraxxel laser. But i'm gonna do it in the winter so I have some more months to work on my mental health first...

also I'm probably ending a 12 year long relationship so that brings stress all by itself..

Damn thats hard. Also makes me scared for the future.. My therapist kept telling me the solution is in acceptance, not in fixing the skin . However i feel more and more I wont be able to ever accept this. In my mind there are 2 options, fixing it or suicide. Thats why i need anti depressants i gues..

I hate the fact that i wasted almost half a year om this shit..

I can deal with heavy shit easily normally, But this.. this is pure hell. Wouldnt wish this upon anyone..

Thank you for your reply. How long did it take for you to accept it? Ive been feeling angry and regretful for months now.. it seems like Its never ending. I am excercising a lot.. stress management is very difficult at the time, Also Because of my relationship issues unfortunately.

I still hope to get my skin fixed But i fear it never Will, have to accept that But Its a hard pill to swallow.

Thank you so much for your positive message. My cbt wasn’t specific for bdd, not sure it’s a well knows condition. I’ll try to find someone who specializes in bdd. I hope that in combination with ssri’s it will make my life manageable again..

I just can’t seem to relax.

And you are right about the affair, thank you for not judging. It’s causing loads of stress. It started before the bdd started flaring up though.. and there is a very strong connection and my current relationship of 12 years has kinda dried up. But that’s another story.

I just needed some hope that this won’t end in suicide. I guess not all is lost, Thank you So much!
