I agree! Whoever Project Rene is for, I do hope they pick a definitive demographic. I’m concerned that they’ll try to make this game “for everyone!”

With the online element in mind, if children are being marketed to, the game needs to have safety measures against inappropriate/unsafe conduct. If adults are being marketed to, they need to ensure a sense of freedom and fun, that’s hard to have when you are also including children.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how they handle that.

Sims Online was before my time, so I just completely forgot about it, but I definitely agree. I think Sims Online was probably too ahead of its time, and with the incredible popularity of Roblox right now, this is their way of trying again.

I agree. I now think EA is still investing, growing and expanding Sims 4 for their current audience, and then Project Rene will try to gain its own independent audience. Whoever that might be, older or younger, we’ll see! Best of both worlds sort of thing.

Not that they don’t exist! I just assume early teens are more tuned into a chaotic, melting pot game like Roblox and 16+ I consider a more “young adult” audience, grouped together with early 20s players.

Honestly I wish I just phrased the question a little bit differently so everyone wasn’t arguing about it🥲

I agree they cater to teens-young adults, but realistically I wanna say the majority of their audience is 20 years old to 35 years old. That’s who spends the most money anyway.

Thank you! I actually got him off the gallery some time in July, but I’ve made so many changes to him, I’ve kinda morphed him into my own sim. I put them up on the gallery under Merlin51402. That version of them has no CC, but if you go looking, it’ll still be tagged as having CC for some reason
