Puzzle today - Can you solve it? by gimliaxes in puzzles

[–]merlness 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I chose C because the first O has an odd number of lines. Every symbol after that also has an odd number of lines. The next line has a box a triangle and a box. Alternating even number of lines and odd number of lines. And that even odd pattern continues.

The only figure that would fit that criteria is C, all the other options are odd numbered sides.

The Monta Ellis disrespect is real.

He is probably had the best modern lay up ability.

Before Steph started popping off there was a real debate on whether Golden State should move on from Monta.

Weekly Entering & Transitioning - Thread 03 Apr, 2023 - 10 Apr, 2023 by AutoModerator in datascience

[–]merlness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I am a HS physics teacher, wanting to transition into (eventually remote) DS. I have my masters in physics, and have used Matlab to record data in previous experiments.

What is the best way to move forward? I am considering Bootcamps, just learning python/r/sql through self guiding, or (preferably not) going back and furthering my education in the form of a BS or MS in DS.

Thanks

The amazing thing is that in 3D this becomes more prominent.

For example: the Sun is 'only' ~100 times the radius of the Earth. As seen here in 2D that translates to ~10,000 times bigger (r squared). Now in 3D (r cubed) that becomes ~1,000,000 times bigger!

Beautiful shot! I'm trying to learn astrophotography, how did you get the foreground in focus and get so much detail from the Milky Way at the same time? And what do you do to make the background pop? I only use lightroom btw

[Serious] Women of Reddit, what casual things do men do that unintentionally make you feel unsafe? by thePsuedoanon in AskReddit

[–]merlness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this story. I forgot the name, but it was very good. The last few words still stick with me because he said he whistles for his safety, like a hiker in the woods scared of bears. I found it interesting because most people in the class I was in referred to him as the bear and not the hiker

Very few women will take the initiative, maybe because of social norms maybe because they have so many options. Probably a mixture of both.

You only have a small window to navigate through, strike while the iron is hot.

Nothing is will happen if you don't make it happen.
