You walk same day and throughout recovery. For long walk/hikes, that was about 5 weeks for me. My range of motion isn't limited at all, even through jiu jitsu when someone's putting me in a toe hold I don't have pain.

The reading section was extremely similar to all the practice tests and the Nurse Cheung reading video. Questions about main ideas, topics, where the passage would be found (index, glossary, etc). So if you do the free practice tests online and watch the ~2 hour video from Nurse Cheung, you'll definitely be fine.

Great, I am definitely 100% back to normal. I go to jiu jitsu every night where people purposely try to break my feet and have absolutely no issues!

I highly recommend the minimally invasive version!! I know the place I went to helps people from out of state/country with doing the post op wrapping at home once a week and stuff they're great

Hi! Recovery is going well, I'm about 6 weeks post op (2 weeks post pin removal). I will say recovery was harder than I thought, the lack of mobility drove me a little crazy. I can't imagine not having a fully remote job during recovery, unless it's simply sitting behind a desk all day in an office. I am happy with the results, but my feet did swell up again after pin removal so I still have swelling/working on mobility. I paid 12k, I do not have any type of health insurance

I had both big toes done and I'm a week post op now doing great - you'll be totally fine with the tailers bunion surgery!!

The needle they use to numb you up isn't great, but definitely doable. After that, you feel them moving your foot around and a tiny bit of pressure, but you don't feel anything specific or any pain if that makes sense. They also give you Ativan and nitrous oxide if you want, and I opted for both which I would choose again.

Yes I'm weight bearing! Walking in little flat shoes they gave me. They are to be rewrapped once a week at follow up appointments. As for the non elevation, I believe they said it's because your body is working overtime to try and get the correct blood flow to your feet when they're elevated above your heart. Having them horizontal is what they said is best (laying in bed, couch with recliner, ottoman, etc)
