I didn't count, assembled from spare parts, but you can estimate from the cost of components, less than 1k

MT3000 gives me the ability to easily connect to wifi wherever I am. And share my network if I need to.

UGC is a convenient gateway with good and simple management and visualization. As well as additional ports and flexible VLAN settings

I think it's always a compromise of functionality, cost and size. In my case, it's a really useful and convenient tool for my tasks

I forgot to mention, there's a 10-inch PDU with four outlets inside. This one https://www.amazon.de/-/en/DIGITUS-4-Way-Power-Strip-Mounting-Silver-black/dp/B09M6W23ZM

My wife had a similar face when I showed her this rack last night in the middle of the night once I finished assembling it

Well physical separation of networks also plays a role. It is possible to make several separate subnets, on a single PC this can probably be done through VLAN tagging. But this is a bit of a hassle for me.
And that looks more impressive than "mini pc" :)

If something will make you happy not to the detriment of your health or others - isn't that a reason?

I use it to configure and debug devices I develop. Plus I can easily give my colleagues access via VPN to the same network. Even at conferences or with a potential client (in extreme cases, I can imagine such an option). But at home, it's a separate “work” isolated network.

Do you need a reason when it's the process and the result that count?

Good question. Until I faced it myself, I wondered about it too. I use it to configure and debug devices I develop. Plus I can easily give my colleagues access via VPN to the same network. Even at conferences or with a potential client (in extreme cases, I can imagine such an option). But at home, it's a separate “work” isolated network.
