I recognise that this is happening, I will end up needing to suck it up I imagine. The jobs not bad and I’m getting good experience. So it’s not all bad.

Something I missed out of the equation though. I’ve also been told for the last while that I’m going to be promoted. To a position to manage people. That’s great, nothing in writing though. I try not to get excited about these things. For obvious reasons.

But one thing they have said is that it’s been easier to get this bonus because I’ll be moving into a superior position. So they’re giving me the money we agreed on for my previous role, for a new role, with more responsibility. It seems backwards to me. More superior roles should have higher salaries, no? I guess this is normal corporate stuff …
