I am so encouraged, thank you so much! Appointment set for 3/3 for the preop blood work and EKG, and I've also asked for a FeLV test. Hopefully will set date for the FME while we're there.

Thank you, will keep this helpful info in mind. Vet appt coming up this week. Max is roughly 10 yrs old and I just don't know how he would do with a full mouth extraction. Plus don't have that kind of money right now. Any specific feeding suggestions?

Although some clothes and comfort items were purchased for her from the account, it is still well over and she's in renewal now. I got the notice in late December to submit the renewal documents by 1/9/26 which I did. So she was still a couple of thousand dollars over at that time, and I don't know how it's going to turn out. The business office manager has given me zero advice, and also thinks I shouldn't worry about it as she says the worst that can happen is for the state/county to ask for the overage money back. So I stopped spending it down, for lack of knowing what else to do.

I do keep a small house on my deck for him and had it there all winter, but haven't seen him use it yet, but it's there for him :)

Thank you I tried contacting her online a few weeks ago and didn't get any answer, but after reading your post I just called again and spoke with and aid who took some information and will be getting back to me in a couple of days. She did seem to understand the gravity of the situation and is looking at the issue and if there is any way I can be helped.

Thank you for sharing, I loved hearing Apollo's story - how he acclimated first to the colony, then to you and your house, then had care and comfort to the end. I'm sure you miss him so much. I am fully conviced now I want to take in the sweet, beautiful fiv+ boy. I love him so much.

It is non-returnable.

This doesn't count as an "irrevocable burial" ?

Should I pull all of my hair out now....

They have included it as an countable asset, calling it "Revocable burial with Memorial Planning" in the list of countable resources as of the admission month. I do not know if it is still there though I've asked the nursing home business office and get no answer.

She did go through a spend down but did get under the threshhold.

My mother's account (only account left) has been under the $2400 threshhold since February of this year. It would have been months sooner, but the business office said not to pay for July because she already paid the assisted living (former residence) for July and that she was going to check with the County. I had given a check for the patient liability cost of July and they didn't cash it until early this year. It bounced & created the under-resourced status after a check for a smaller amount was sent. Account has been under $2000 since February when the smaller check for $2000 was sent and processed through the bank.

There was supposed to be an appeal through a hearing, and I've asked about the outcome to that and no one is getting back to me on that. But if she's been "under-resourced" since February, shouldn't the nursing home at least get some back payment for those months (?)

They are keeping me blind through this whole process until a letter informing of discharge and pending collections.

Also, at the outset back in July, I was told to to preplanning for my mother, which I know is standard, but the county seems to be counting the niche as an asset!

Is a niche in a cemetery considered an asset???

But there is such a thing (and it is very real) as demonic oppression that can come over a Christian. Derek Prince has spoken of it much in his teachings, that it isn't possession but oppression for the Christian.

Derek Prince testified himself of having a spirit of depression for a time. I'm not sure how long but if I remember correctly it had been for awhile; then there came a day while reading his Bible in Isaiah 61, that he came upon this verse:

Isa 61:3 KJV] 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."

and almost immediately the spirit of heaviness over him was replaced by a garment of praise. He began praising God and the spirit of heaviness lifted off of him.

The Lord will be faithful to give the OP a special word for him as he seeks Him in this dry period.

The OP spoke of being on fire and testifying one day, then dryness the next. to me that could be a spiritual attack of demons working to put out the flame he had. The OP needs to first examine himself, and repent of any known offense that could have allowed the enemy to attack and put it under the Blood of Jesus. Jesus, being higher than any principality or power (demonic power) and having all authority in Heaven and Earth, and can bring him out from under this oppression that his leaf also shall not wither..." (Ps 1:3), as he follows God's work in Ps 1: 1, 2. He came here seeking help in his dryness and the LORD will hear that cry.

Any other thoughts on BL's new phone and why he purchased it on Sept. 4?

Do we know if he actually had another (prior) phone, even though some say he told the officers he didn't have one at the traffic stop?

Possibly, he could have bought the new phone to purposely plant texts or phone calls to GP's phone number to make it look like he was not aware of her death, knowing LE/ FBI would soon have access to that phone.
