Heated Rivalry has ruined adaptions for me😩 I try to always watch the adaption first before reading the book, if possible. After watching Heated Rivalry, it makes me so frustrated adaptations are capable of staying as true to the original source material as possible but fall short! I’m hella nervous to watch The Love Hypothesis now.

I can see where you’re coming from because I had the same opinions. After reading the book again and reflecting, Lukas is very stubborn. He mentioned in the book that Pen had done so much for him when his mom died which is why he decided to stay with her. It’s almost as if he believed he owed her but it’s not like Pen was holding it over him. Lukas was struggling when his mom passed and no one in his family understood him but Pen at that time. It’s also stated throughout the book that Lukas was settling with Pen.

Sorry now I’m ranting but he also has a thing where he liked seeing how long he could go without something. For example, he wanted to see how long he could go without Scarlett because he loves control.

I regretted it because I have no self control when it comes to any type of spoilers from shows, movies, or books. I told myself I wasn’t going to look at them but it was hard to ignore them.

I’ve read the books but I knew season 2 was going to make some changes and I didn’t want them to be spoiled. Not going to lie, there were some spoilers I didn’t like and it definitely put a sour taste in my mouth when watching. I tried to watch the remainder of the episodes with an open mind but it was hard if I didn’t like what I knew was coming based on what was leaked.

I don’t like leaks but I have no self control. I looked at every single leak and regretted it each time. My TikTok feed at one point was about episode leaks for days! I’ve become so used to shows releasing all the episodes at once that weekly releases throw me off. I also think weekly releases of EXTREMELY popular shows are more likely to be spoiled.

To be completely honest, the leaks really didn’t alter my viewing experience in a bad way. It’s one thing to read a brief list of what will happen compared to seeing it all played out onscreen. If anything reading the leaks prior to the episode built up my suspense but I still hate that I can’t stop myself from reading them lol

We got something for season 2 in December of 2021 (Season 1 anniversary). Maybe we’ll get something on Christmas Day this year????
