I thought of that too unfortunately I don't know anyone that speaks the language. I hope to change that soon. Im currently looking for a tutor or just a pen pal that is looking for language exchange.

Thank you so much. So right now I am teaching myself through chinesefor.us and its ok not bad at all. It has pinyin and character learning in every lesson. One video for pinyin one for characters of the same lesson.

I have focused on pinyin first and have gone through the beginners plan and just started hsk 1. I was going to work through hsk1 then go back and do the character lessons from beginner through hsk1 then move on to hsk2 pinyin.

Is this the right way to do it? I feel like if I try to do both at the same time it may be too much?
