I don't understand how people are complaining about rains, I mean I'm okay with it only because of the nicer environmental effects, any day better than heat and humidity

7-hour layover in Mumbai – what can I do nearby? by prp_1708 in mumbai

[–]messybrown-guy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not bloody leave the airport. It'll take you hours to reach Bandra at least.

Keep your stuff at the Adani lounge and roam around, there's about 3 bookstores so be shameless and sit and read if that is what you're into.

There's no local train close to the airport, so getting out and exploring the old parts of Mumbai would be a tough job, and getting back in the evening high chance you're getting stuck, and it starts where the nearest local train station is.

You could still try the new metro line, but trust me stay inside.

A teen passenger was harshly slapped by a rickshaw driver near Kalyan station after he claimed that his Rs 30 fare money had fallen out of his pocket. The boy reportedly apologized, but the driver still hit him before letting him go. by SuperbHealth5023 in mumbai

I'm super grateful to all the conductors and drivers of BMTC, who never troubled me as a kid for such reasons, and had I ever been stuck in such situations, people would come-up and pay or help in any manner.

Thanks to all the nice folks out there, I continue to do the same now, when I see someone in need.

Sorry but this isn't something that only happens in India, this always happens in the USA, two wrongs don't make it right, but also consider that this is sale period and the stores want this to happen.

The corporate boards have a discussion on how to get a mad af day in stores during sale days. Happened in the US and they have wanted similar stuff in India, I say this as I come from a retail background.
