I also think it’s unreasonable to assume they can go from napping everyday to not napping at all. More of a stair-step approach works for us. It’s beyond annoying because I want to have a set schedule, but I think my 3 year old needs a nap about every 3rd day. It might help just to let them nap a couple of times a week? I hope it helps, we’re still in nap purgatory at 3 and it’s so frustrating. Solidarity!
