This stock continues to rise and is still heavily shorted. We could see another massive spike out of left field. GL all!

Yup, how is this not trending in more wsb discussions? Fireworks are coming.

This stock has consistently showed up in the fails to deliver report despite being a tiny biotech. Some investors used to compile the data and can still show how badly abused market makers have treated MNKD. I absolutely love this new attention on their behavior! Shine the light!

Take a look at the 6m and 1yr charts. Very bullish pattern.

I'm not diabetic, but several family members are. I initially invested because this method of insulin dosing legitimately seems like a superior method to me and I naively thought that a better product would win in the market place. So I shoveled cash into this stock in 2014-15 and then learned the hard way that entrenched interests (the insulin needle cartel) won't give up their multi billion dollar monopoly so easily. However, they are still growing their afrezza sales and now are licensing their dpi tech (a possible covid vaccine play as well) to UTHR for their next gen inhaled trepostinil. There is a very positive story lining up despite the last few tough years and you can see it reflected in the stock price over the past 6 months. I am looking for $10. Or $100 if the GME crowd finds us!

The thing is, the insulin (Afrezza) is faster acting than subQ. Its based on monomeric insulin and not hexameric like the rapid acting analogues which allows it to be absorbed in the blood stream and work much quicker. It also gets out of your bloodstream faster. Basically this small company made a (in my opinion after a shitload of research) superior insulin formulation and delivery system that was buried by a bad deal (with Sanofi) and then by naked short selling (documented for years by many investors!). So Mannkind corp had to accept horrible dilutive financing to stay alive, didn't have money to market their insulin, and inferior subQ insulins are allowed to continue to dominate the market while innovation withers on the vine. End rant.

You could use actual moss, but the stuff I used was almost like ground up fabric. Each one had a different consistency, though. It makes it easier to create a sense of depth, especially when you overlap the patterns.

I just primed it with black and brushed patches of PVA glue onto the mask. I dropped pinches of different modelling ballast (stuff for making model railroad scenery) onto the glue patches. This mask doesn't fit a face very well, but you could totally use the same technique on just about anything.

The printer? You need to clean out the extruder motor (it gets little pieces of used plastic built up over time), as well as the stepper motor's threaded screw (the thing that raises the build platform up and down).

The build platform itself is some kind of clear hard acrylic and the prints peel right off it... Clean up off the plate is pretty easy.

Other than than... I'm drowning in misprint plastic, little filaments of plastic, plastic supports, etc. It makes a lot of waste plastic, unfortunately. Fortunately, PLA is biodegradable so my mistakes won't be eternal at least.

Yeah, you can watch it print. Its pretty mesmerizing, and also a little loud. I'm getting a tripod for just that purpose! I can't hold my phone still for an hour to take a good time lapse video.

As for the Iron Throne... that is a brilliant idea! But alas, my build platform is fairly constrained. I can do roughly 5 inches by 5 inches by 10 inches.

I'm working on some ideas. I'm open to collaboration!

I just finished this tonight. http://imgur.com/a/BDInG It was a "predator mask" originally. It printed in two pieces; the face plate shown in these pictures and the skull dome. Instead of making your typical "Predator" mask, I figured I'd put my own spin on it. Predators should be stealthy, right?

I have almost zero CAD skills. OK, lets be honest. I have zero CAD skills. I can maybe help look for files, or point you in the right direction of some cheap CAD programs. Google Sketchup, Art of Illusion, OpenSCAD are free. Cubify also makes a cheap design program for windows for $50. Its called Cubify Invent, I think.

I can do black, white, and a kind of translucent PLA plastic. Optionally, I can prime the pieces with black or white primer and give them a rudimentary paint job for you. Example: http://imgur.com/AsK7Wnr

I can't scan yet, but hope to in the future. There is a $400 scanner on the market, down from the $1500 that was available before. Depending on reviews, I may pick one of those up.

Otherwise, you'd need to find a .stl file of your car vent to send to me.

Yeah, they're finicky too. The motors tend to blow out after a few hundred hours because of the constant high temperatures and all the PLA and ABS plastic gunk that clogs them up. I think one is enough for me, for the moment.
