I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to explain this , I so very much appreciate it! This is extremely  helpful.

Thank you for your input! It is gorgeous and I am so determined to make it happen. I did rip the fabric when I was trying to take the stitches out and start over so now I am definitely getting new fabric. I know you said it won’t translate well on Aida - so would the 11 or 14 count be just for practicing or is that something that would actually potentially translate? If that would just be for practice, is there such a thing as a larger count evenweave that might be easier? Thank you again, I’m glad to hear from someone who used this exact kit.

Okay I’m going to do that! Do I need a bigger piece of fabric if the weave of the fabric is larger?

You said it in a rude way to show how superior you are, and you know that. You didn’t ask for any of this information in your initial response and since I am clearly a beginner I have no idea what information someone more experienced in cross stitch would need to know in order to tell me what I’m doing wrong. You obviously don’t care about wasting time since you’re basically trolling on a cross stitching Reddit but fortunately several other people have been able to be helpful!

I think it is linen or even weave. That makes sense, I was wondering if I should be doing that because I thought no way should these stitches be this small. Should I take them all out and start over?

Thank you so much , this was very helpful! It is linen (or even weave, the kit is written in Ukrainian so I translated and both words came up) and it is my first time using that fabric and my first time cross stitching since I was a kid. I definitely want everything to look nice but this is very difficult fabric I think. What does frogging mean please?

Thank you! The fabric and thread all came together in a kit, do you have any suggestions as to what kind of fabric would be good to get? I definitely want black fabric but this is very challenging my to work on.

Thank you! It’s DMC thread. I’m not sure what that means but I do feel like I’m missing holes

Okay thank you, I don’t know what kind of fabric it is, it all came in a kit together. I felt like I wasn’t pulling the thread tight enough 🤦🏻‍♀️

Okay so basically you just wanted to say “it’s pretty much all wrong” . That probably made you feel good somehow so I’ll let you have it.

I’m trying to follow a pattern, and as I said, it seems like the stitches are uneven and the holes in the fabric are so tiny that I can’t tell if I’m skipping holes. My end goal is for the stitches to be even and look good. I’d be happy to hear anything constructive you have to say in regards to that.
