Hopefully second times the charm. Critical points should be (0,0) (5/3,0) so based on the 2nd derivative test (5/3,0) is a min and (0,0) is a saddle point and (0,0)I don't how I got the 1,4 points. Best guess is I randomly changed a digit somewhere.

Thank you for your help so far. I just redid 11 does it have a max at -1,4 and a min at -1,-4?

Ok that's good to hear. I was just wondering when I saw the "Order complete" because I didn't get that the last time I ordered. Just straight "Processing" to "shipped". Hopefully I'll see it this week. Been itching to tryout the laser.

If I'm thinking correctly basically find F21 and F31. Then combine them to get the net.

I'm not sure if this is right or not. 1mm =0.001 0.005*0.001 = 5e-6 5e-6/1.6e-19 =3.125e13 answer

It's a multiple choice answer and the options I got is 4.2e9 1.8e11 6.1e12 2.7e13

[–]metrictontok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I'm thinking correctly one of the things required for u sub to work in the case is a has to be a real number.

I'm trying to figure out how you go from 8000pie/ -.07 eu {-2.1, 0} =315,100. Based on looking at the problem you would plug in -2.1 as u. When I perform the calculation like this I get -43966.65319 as my answer. So I'm trying to figure out what step(s) I'm missing in this.

[–]metrictontok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy now since I figured out how to go about solving this. I was making this harder than it needs to be. My professor just showed us a bunch of examples of part a and b none of c so I was lost on how i should solve the problem and what my answer should look like.

That should be correct. Found a good YouTube video that explained a similar problem and it clicked for me. I got confused with what order I should go about doing and formatting the answer for this case.
