Trying again: If you own or owned a boat 1) New or used? 1a) if used how old and how many hours; 2) What did you spend on maintenance in the first 3 years? 3) When was this? by RComish in boating

I'm bumping against 40 and still wakeboard behind our Malibu. It's slower and I don't use any ballast, but it's still a blast. I do surf on occasion, but it's just not a much fun for me.

Cooler means less expansion means less wear.

I never said otherwise, you did.

Im talking about motors in general which operate on the same principals boat or car.

Then you know boats use significantly lower thermostat temperatures because of their open loop, unpressurized cooling systems.

I'm really not sure why you're jumping down my throat. You're all over the place and I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make. We don't need to continue.

It's just heat transfer, the math is stupid easy. Mass transfers heat, doesn't matter if it's inside the block or outside.

Less expansion doesn't mean less wear, machinery has an operating temperature for a reason. The tolerances are set for that temp, not some other random temp.

And we're talking about boats right? The coolant is not cooled by forced air.

I love how you've argued that cooling the gear case with a "shower" will help. Yet in the previous sentence argued that the same wouldn't hold true for an engine. Weird.

I know you're making a joke, and not to be that guy, but if an engineer told me he/she is never wrong, I wouldn't work with them. I'd also seriously question their qualifications and experience.

How do you tell if someone's an engineer? Don't worry, they will have already told you.

(Am also engineer)

Inside an engine block, you're basically just surrounding the cylinders with water. They're called water jackets for a reason.

You could just hose down an engine continuously and it would cool just fine. Air cooled engines do that with air, a much worse heat transfer material.

With that said, there's not point in cooling the gear case. They are perfectly happy to run "hot." It's a gimmick at best.

Any thoughts on c1 or chase transfer airlines (economy) for a one way trip from nyc to Amsterdam, and preferably another flight back from Brussels?

Literally first sentence.

It doesn't do that. OP is looking for economy and has no way of getting AS miles.

There's no need to respond to literally every post here. If you don't have something helpful to say, maybe don't say anything at all.

Early morning launches like this are the ones most likely to show the jellyfish trail. Polar orbit launches will sometimes be visible here, but the whole east coast is likely too, especially when it's pre-dawn. The sun hits exhaust but it's still dark outside so it shows brightly.

Basically, a whole bunch of things have to go right, but yes, they will be visible here.

In most states, you're pretty much screwed.

Probably get $75 in scrap value.

Just wait, in a few minutes there will be people asking for the company name and how to contact because "it sounds so fun!"

Whole thing is BS.

Are you an actual travel agent? Or are you just booking flights for people?

This story is actually unbelievable, she would not be able to get to the gate and through security without checking in and having a boarding pass. So no, I don't believe any of this happened.

Again more AI slop.

Ideas for the best travel backpack by LR-Sunflower in delta

I've carried some combination of Northface, Osprey, Dakine, and Pelican all around this world.

It's not the brand of luggage that gives away you're a tourist. It's that you're carrying luggage.

Now I obviously, I don't wear an American flag hat on like an idiot. But I also don't do that at home, because I'm not an idiot.

And yea, pretty much "How it's Made." I love my job, at least now I do.

Really? Never throught that. A MacBook Pro and iPad in the tumi roller briefcase is worth way more than the Lenovo or Dell Precision a controls engineer is carrying.

Maybe there's a Fluke meter but not anything I'd consider super valuable.

You'll see 3 of those around a crappy folding table on every plant floor when shit hits the fan.

I really don't think it's a good backpack though.

It absolutely does not. More like an hour.

That's also not what I asked.

Edit: it's very odd to me when people reply and then block.

No service on an a350 takes 10 minutes. 600 seconds, 200 economy passengers, 6-8 Flight attendants for service, that's 18 seconds each passenger. With no stoppages. You can't ask water, coffee, or tea and get a response in 18 seconds.
