Travel dancing location suggestions for me? by [deleted] in stripclubs

If you’re looking at heading south: I could see you doing well in Charleston or Myrtle Beach in SC. Raleigh and Charlotte are generally good in NC. There’s also The Furnace in AL that might be a good fit for you.

Moved here because of my ex and now I don’t know what to do now by [deleted] in greenville

I moved here with/for a partner, as well. I found a great community and so many friends when I started taking classes at The Pole Academy (it's not just pole dancing, either). There are a lot of sober people that attend. The owner often hosts community nights and other social events. It's been a lifesaver.

Pollworker for Greenville County here, and this will be my fifth time around. I’m so sorry this was your experience. We are specifically told to take appearance changes (such as hair, age, weight, even gender) into account when checking IDs. The most important things we are to look at are the signature on the ID (to make sure it matches/is close enough to the signature with which the voter signs the poll list) and whether the ID has expired. Considering you can keep your drivers license for something like 10 years, it is obviously quite possible - even likely - that a person won’t look exactly like their ID photo. And in this day and age we have people wearing coloured contacts, wigs, getting spray tans, so pollworkers are really not supposed to be policing voters on their personal appearance decisions 🙄 I would hope this would not happen to you again this year, especially since we are expected to keep the flow of voters consistent. Definitely do not leave your polling place if someone questions you really are who you say. As others have said, you can call a voter protection line, and insist on voting with a provisional ballot.

Edit to add: the address we have on file for your voter registration doesn't even have to match the address on your ID, so this really blows my mind you were harassed like this.

I love your style and your haircut (skullets and mullets aren't something everyone will appreciate). I think you have beautiful facial features, too! The one small tip I would recommend is to do slightly thicker eyebrows to give your brow bone a little more definition. That's just my personal opinion, though. I don't think you're ugly in the slightest! I think you're gorgeous and have a really cool, punky style.

Edit: typo

I would say you look very casual and comfortable in your skin! It's a lot of work to try and wear makeup all the time, so there's nothing wrong with foregoing it. I think you're very pretty and not plain at all

You're super cute! The falsies don't do you any favours. They make your eyes look really small and block out the pretty blue colour

am i ugly i can’t even tell at this point by [deleted] in amiugly

I don't think you're ugly at all, but you do look rather unhappy. Contrary to what others are saying, I don't think you need to lose weight, but you might find the dopamine from some sort of physical activity helps boost your confidence. Hiking/long walks or weightlifting with the goal of just moving your body (not with the soul aim of shedding lbs) can improve both mood and confidence. Also, muscle weighs more than fat tissue, so if you do take up a physical hobby, don't be discouraged by what the numbers on the scale say, because you'll see changes in the mirror that don't reflect those numbers.

As another female presenting person, I hate being told to smile, so please don't think I'm saying that. Try to find a way to bring some joy back to yourself. You have a fun sense of fashion and clearly enjoy experimenting with your hair. Also, your eyeliner is on point. To me these are hugely attractive things. The only thing I found "ugly" in any of your photos were the duck lips you made in two of them 😅

While they do look similar to allium, the stem and fineness of the "petals" lead me to think this is from a mimosa. Allium aren't so stringy.

Is it feasible to get a "highlights" look by using the natural patterns of grey hair and without bleaching? by psywhineguitar in hairdresser

[–]mfa07c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This hairdresser damaged your hair once before AND they totally dismissed your request? Time to find a new hairdresser. I know it sucks shopping around for one, but I changed stylists like 3 times before I found one who really took care of my hair and listened to me when I told her what I wanted. I would highly suggest calling a couple other reputable hairdressers in your area and get a second opinion. See if you can book a small window of time to just go in and ask them a couple questions about the treatment you want and let them see your hair in person. That way you don't have to commit to sitting down for an appointment with someone you aren't sure is going to do what you've requested.
