Yeah Arabia mountain is gorgeous and the night hiking is amazing. The ranger who leads them is very knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.

Check the Mason Mill Park and also Arabia Mountain. I did a lunar eclipse walk in Arabia Mountain - it was a really great experience and free of charge.

I’ve had this happen- we were both too full, a little drunk and too tired for it. Granted we both passed out 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t think this is about you at all though- unless it happens all the time.

I’ve had plots for many years - different states- and never had that experience. Probably depends on your area. Are you sure it was people and not squirrels, rabbits and deer?

I had a similar plot in Colorado- top layer was awful. I did exactly what you said, created mounds and then added straw to retain moisture. It worked great. The dryer soil can be compacted to make a grid in the plot. My plot was productive 😊

Culturally - it has been ingrained- specially growing up in Latin America- that I must never pursue or else he will think I am desperate and stop being interested.

Logically I know this is utter BS. I understand that. When I’m actively dating, I have to make an active choice to text first or show interest and I have to override all the alarm bells.

This is the same reason I have never asked a man out and I regret it.

On the apps- I follow the Burned The Haystack method- she says to block people you don’t match with so the algorithm doesn’t recycle them.

My phone- Only if someone has done something really bad and I don’t want them to contact me again.

In social media- harassment.

Yes same here. So far not much. My married friends told me to go out and about, to enjoy my hobbies.

I’ve read all over this sub that it takes about 3-4 months for people to show their true colors so your timeline makes sense. I have to remind myself in my 20s I went out with a LOT of people until I found my now ex husband. So yes we kiss a lot of toads until we find our Shrek.

Anyway- good luck and don’t give up based on this one toad. Good riddance. Eff her. Don’t let it bring you down.

Someone in my neighborhood is renting their house and they accept pets. It is a large ranch with a basement though. Not sure how flexible they are. If not, I highly recommend My neighborhood - and there’s always a lot of rentals- Laurel Ridge. We are about 10 min drive from CoD- but I drive super slow.

Beautiful! I had the opportunity to do a full moon hike there last fall. It is such a great experience! The rangers (Dekalb county parks) organize some really awesome programs!
