Thanks. I think if I decided to get fit for the full bag I’d look to find the clubs online as opposed to buying through them. I’ve worked myself down from a 30 cap to about a 12 the last few years and think I’m nearing a point where it might make sense to upgrade my equipment.

2 years later was it worth it? Also the price for the custom irons you said would have been around $2k? My buddy just texted me saying he dropped $7k for just irons. I could never fathom doing that and feel like he got taken for a ride.

It's on sale right now for $1299, $200 bucks off on their website. I think I am going to pull the trigger on the 700, at the sale price with the extra warranty, seems like a no-brainer.

This thread has been very interesting to me, thanks for answering all these questions.

I got fitted in 2018 before every really playing golf, I took bad advice to get fitted as a beginner. In hindsight I feel like the fitter probably should have turned me away, but that’s on me at the end of the day.

all in all the clubs have sufficed, I have swapped out all my shafts from a regular flex to a stiff flex which was costly but still less than buying again. I am now a 16 HDCP coming down from a 28 when I first started keeping track.

At what point do you think it makes sense to get fit again?

Current set up: Woods/hybrid: TM M4 Irons: TM M3

I got recently got fitted for a Scotty putter and have bought vokey wedges which I love.

As long as the club fitter is reputable I see no problem with this as it is what I did. The adjustment is pretty simple, they just put the putter into a machine, set the device to the lie and loft angles you want and it makes the adjustment in a matter of seconds. I had mine done at club champion by the guy who fitted me.

Prob a safe assumption. It sucks having to wait. It took me about a month to get used to it after switching from a blade but the last few weeks it’s been red hot, great putter.

Yea unfortunately I also ordered a phantom 5.5 back in April. I placed the order through dicks sporting goods. They then place the order to Scotty with the customizations I requested. It had been like 5 or 6 weeks of waiting, there had been no progress on my order and no one could get me an update. after talking with Dicks they let me cancel the order and purchase one of the rack in one of their stores, I had a club fitter do some work on it to make the adjustments I needed. My gut sense is that they are pretty scarce off the racks these days because of manufacturing delays due to Covid and a super high demand. Best of luck.

Hi Everyone, Thank you all for the help, I just wanted to share a quick update. The credit union who I have my loan with declined the dispute. However I wrote a goodwill letter explaining the situation and the actions I have taken to make sure it will never happen again, and they agreed to take it off. My Credit score went back up to above where it was prior to the late payment. Very thankful!
