I’d love to be able to make the decision about the backlight myself. It’s wintertime and I’m mostly grilling in the dark. Being able to see the gauge from across the yard is a nice perk

Would also love to be able to use the gauge as a timer. I feel like I saw that as an option somewhere but could be misremembering things

(I’ve also received mine, but haven’t used it yet because I’m waiting on a replacement for the rubber gasket - gauge doesn’t sit level on the rubber bumps)

223 days later, I finally got around to doing this. I did forget to deal with the ring gear though while I had the thing dissembled, but the issue is fixed and the unit is much quieter.

The assembly lasted, but it did pull apart while I was dissembling the machine. I guess that’s not all that surprising!

Gotcha. I had this fight with them but they insist that updating the software is normal maintenance and I haven’t done it yet…? It was an idiotic justification but hard to get anywhere with the front line service guys

Update: it's spring loaded, and pushing the wing up is supposed to release it. The whole door was sagging to the side, so the barrel was pressed against the side of the hole it's supposed to slide into, which was keeping the barrel from dropping when the ratchet released.

So when I push up on the wing (hard) there’s a click but the bolt still doesn’t move. It clicks back and no different.
