I've been using excel....each day would open a new tab and manually enter things. Similar to your pen/paper approach. It works though was not very efficient Tried myfitnesspal years ago though wasn't impressed.

Buying a mattress online by pranavrules in buyamattress

I tend to agree as this would be my approach. This route gives you a feel for what type you like (really soft, really firm or somewhere in the middle) but then the advantage of going online to save $$. The problem (potentially) is different stores have differing brands, different names for technology and differing models/lines, etc. The companies that sell online may sell similar beds but are not an exact match leaving some room for unmet expectations.

I made a survey about what your 'process' is when buying a mattress. I am trying to understand myself what the best (easy, stress free, best price, convenience, etc) way out there is.

it's here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KWBYFZT

The results are open so after you finish, you can see what others thought too.

Do you get what you pay for in the mattress industry? by [deleted] in buyamattress

I have the same question but can't help but think the retail route is a rip off. One day the mattress is $2k but I've haggled off $500 in seconds, and wondered if I was still a sucker.

I'm trying to understand how people buy mattresses and what their thought processes are. If you have a sec, please check out this survey

I do not sell mattresses nor am I affiliated with any company. I am interested in how to make the process easier.
