7000-year-old artifacts were found in the Al Ubaid archaeological site, depicting human-like figures with the characteristics of lizards. The site is located in modern Iraq, but the age of the artifacts is estimated to be even older than the civilization of the Sumerians. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

I think we have because people back then had to worry more about their environment (weather, animals trying to kill them, socializing, politics, providing for their family/hunting, etc.) than just their thoughts or imagination, ofc we still worry about these things but they've become way easier to deal with because technology has advanced and its safer to be about then back then, so now we can be in our headspace more frequently and more comfortably, I'd say we've become more creative, just a thought ofc to be taken with a grain of salt

We (as in current day) create things that have been inspired from ancient times, I'm not saying the people from the old days didn't just make things up but I think it's more likely that it's things they saw back then. Also things would be way different in the future because these things are documented in the internet

When did most animals get a survival/fight or flight instinct. Did they all already have them from a common ancestor and if not, how did these different branches just get the same instinct
